@Beren (or anyone else)... got any recommendations for Morrowind modding?
I'm putting in the Morrowind Sound n Gfx Overhaul, but I'm not sure I need much else. Barring just waiting for Skywind.

Ugh.. guess I'm not playing Morrowind. This isn't the first time I've seen a mod that wants to shut down UAC. Wtf is wrong with these guys? I want to punch them on principle. If game developers don't need to do this, then you don't. edit: wait, looks like I only need to do this for the installer.
It's still stupid though.

I give up on that overhaul. I even turned UAC off, but now the installer is finicky for other reasons.
I like some mods, but a lot of them are hacks that are more trouble than they're worth. I guess if you don't have access to the code of the game, there's no better way than a hack.
I see that a lot of the modding community is sticking their noses up at this new Skyrim rehaul coming out, but it isn't a hack job, so that alone makes it better.. no how pretty their Russian infused ENB settings are. And it'll be a true 64 bit game now.

I can't even remember what I'm missing from Win 7. I think 10 might be friendlier to how I'm currently using it... I'm mostly using it from couch distance with a very zoomed/upscaled interface. I can't recall if 7 even let me do that.

I have become quite fond of Windows 10. I am currently upgrading over 100 computers to Win10 at work - - it's going to be fun when people freak out because they don't know how to navigate it. Funtimes ahead. *drinks*

There's a metric ...ton of people working in IT here. I'm surprised. But I handed my IT Tech card in almost a year ago, and I'm proud! Woohoo!

I almost fell into it. There were a lot of jobs where I grew up and my friends often offered work. I knew more about computers than they did. Maybe I should have taken it... I don't know. edit: Actually I don't know about managing lots of computers or servers. It's more that I learned Unix at home... before it was even popular. I was the weirdo who did it for fun.

One good thing about Win10: DAI runs smoother.
Cheers.

So.... you gave up on Overwatch?
That feeling is why I was pissed off after DAI was released... at least for awhile. Because Bioware used to be my go to fill the void.

I have been playing multiple games at once. Some Overwatch. some Fallout 4 and until now, Witcher 3.
I was thinking about jumping back into Assassin's Creed: Syndicate. I'm only about half way through the story. Of course, I'd have to start from the begining again. It's been too long to just jump back in where I left off.

See, I don't really understand that mindset. If you don't carry on, it's as if you're leaving the characters there in purgatory. Characters that you love to play as should reach their ends, otherwise you're leaving them to just... not exist.

WinXP looks like a Fisher Price OS. I don't think it was NT based either... like 7 and onwards were.
