I'm still not all that excited about it, from what I know. I'm afraid it'll be a skeleton game...like Freelancer.

 

But I want to be proven wrong..

Right. I have to perform a bodge job on my chair. I want to lean back. I am used to leaning back.

 

What tools do I need? Duct tape? Don't have that. Got sellotape though. That'll do.

 

What else? Nothing. Tape sorts out all problems.

Well. I can lean back, but it's a mother-fucker on my actual back now.

 

Needs more work. Maybe... attach a pillow? I have to fix it to the chair somehow. I'm out of tape. Had to make sure it wouldn't break apart as soon as I sat in it.

It's worth noting that, apparently, this company actually renewed its patent (in several countries, where it had lapsed) twenty four days after NMS was first showcased at E3 in 2014.  It's almost like they saw it and went "hey, we'd better get the patent back on that thing so we cash in on it!"  /cynical

 

There's also little evidence that they are willing to stop it being launched... which probably just means they are waiting for it to make lots of money before they start demanding cash.  /stillcynical

I wouldn't be surprised.

It'll get sorted by Sony though. Sony are much bigger than the people who made the program. They have better lawyers and more money. I don't expect No Man's Sky to be further delayed.
