Is that a usual occurrence over there? Over hear, a stranger in your house asking for money is not someone you negotiate with.
Over here, in Texas, you shoot them. And get away with it.

So tonight, while GMing, I muttered something to myself while thinking out loud, and because of the way I'd said it I then said something like "huh, went a bit Tiberius there". No one at the table of roleplayers knew what I meant. Sad times.
Well, that could be a reference to so many things. There's Evil Kirk and that Emperor guy.

Finally back to being able to sleep until midday, for one day anyway. Now I have to clean.. but I just wanna go play. I don't wanna adult!

Nope, not a usual occurrence for me. But she wasn't threatening, not aggressive, not drunk or on drugs. So yeah, we're somewhat nicer people when there isn't an immediate threat over here, never know when the stranger entering your house needs sanctuary or help for a real reason. She behaved, stayed in the laundry room which is the door she walked in and left after 20 minutes. Now if any of those things weren't the case, things would have been very different. But over here we are generally a bit more laidback and actually ask the person to leave before going for aggressive tactics (or more likely calling the police) ourselves (which is usually reserved for violent trespassers).

I just watched a documentary on biker gangs there. And the meth problems in the country in general. Didn't seem much different than here. Freaking animals.
And the funniest thing was the cops had to go through this silly little checkout machine at their station that locked up their guns, when they left on patrol.

lol nope, I'm in Inala which is where the government housing used to be before moving to Logan.

Nope, just a different culture mind set. We're a laidback country, not an aggressive one generally. Sure there's always a few bad apples in the basket *points at the blown out of proportion biker gang you mentioned* but generally this isn't a country wide issue, just small parts of it.

I'll take your word for it. I used to live next to some people who had bikers around.. it's unfortunately how I first found out about meth. So I'm tacking on my own experience here, I guess. I've seen a lot of bad, but the two groups that stunned me are bikers and neo-nazis. Not even the other gangster kids are that bad.

I'm living off rice, 2min noodles, popcorn, and using powdered milk for my cereal and coffee which don't like it but no other option there (I'm an extremely fussy eater, I definitely taste the difference).
Yes, I said popcorn.. I actually get cravings and slight withdrawals if I haven't eaten it for a while, like with softdrink. No idea why, probably just my weirdly wired brain.

weatherman yesterday: it's gonna top at 26 tomorrow! tomorrow becomes today: top of 29. they'll get it right one day. tomorrow is meant to be a nice 21/22. we'll see. temps this year (during mid winter) are hiking to 5-8 degrees above normal. This year's summer is going to be really rough I think.of course everywhere is blaming climate change (anything slightly out of whack = climate change.. right?) but this is Australia, every 5 years our weather completely mucks itself up to keep us on our toes it seems hahaha. Drought incoming if the rains don't come early as well.
Thus passes the boring weather discussion. Carry on with all drinking.

lol, I dunno mate. I fear bushfire season more then flood season personally. if it goes back to normal winter temps etc and sticks with them we'll be fine, if it doesn't stick back to such temps we could be facing another deadly fire season.
Of course everywhere says it's going to cool down this week but I worry haha. our floods and bushfires do go hand in hand though. We get one, then the other, then the first again then it sorta simmers back and waits for the next year.

I guess that's necessary when you have a properly working system of actual gun control...

True but then bushfire season doesn't affect me or anyone I know so I'm not inclined to be as concerned about it.
Granted I'm in the north so flood season doesn't either.

yeah, other then valley getting some bushfire smoke blow in by the wind, I'm not affected by either at all. but I have a bit too much empathy for those who are.. and natural disasters are an interest of mine. Like cyclones too, forgot we get those around the same time as the floods and fires xD

The cops in that film were the last that needed it. But I was stunned more by the image. They looked like children.

My youtube is a mess, ranging from general music videos/soundtracks, anime music vids, top 10 stuff in video games vids, and one particular creepy looking one of "10 terrifying facts about medieval knights" that I have no idea why it's in recommended but a little scared to click it. not for title, but that the still of the video in it's little icon thing is of the crotch part of a suit of armour.

This does not bode well for the coming day. Snippet of screenshot I took about 40 minutes ago (3:16am to be precise.) Yep, the sun's been down for around seven hours at this point.

Don't worry, I'll save everyone the trouble. ![]()
