So my Mom and I were arguing about what Switzerland was in German, she went with "Suisse..." 

 

I countered that because there is no official language in Switzerland, that "Swizerland" possibly doesn't even really have an official name that we translated into English.

The official name of Switzerland is.... Confoederatio Helvetica (Latin, also the reason why Swiss internet pages end with CH).

 

As for Switzerland in german, that would be "Schweiz". "Suisse" is french.
