Believe me when I say that social anxiety has NOTHING to do how well someone puts his/her words together. It's more like a dreading feeling which you have whenever you interact with anyone.
 
Little example how it is for me:

me: *wants to write a message to a friend*
my social anxiety: What if you annoy them? What if they don't want a message from you? What if? WHAT IF????
me: *still writes the message*
my social anxiety: What if your words are rude? What if you offend them? What if? WHAT IF????
me: *rewrites message three times* *puts smilies in it to make the other person happy* *walks in circles in her room for some time to get her courage up* *finally hits send*
friend: *does not immediately write back for whatever reason*
my social anxiety: What if they're angry at you, because of your message? What if they hate you? What if they don't want to talk to you ever again?  What if? WHAT IF????
me: 
 
 
I know fully well that this is is not true, but I can't shake off this feeling. And this is just when I try to talk to friends. Now imagine how horrible it feels when I have to talk to someone who I don't know, like if I look for a job and have to write/call someone for a job application.
It is pure horror.

I'm not really going to press the point, by social interactions are supposed to be highly emotional intense, complex encounters.

 

Just because you don't have this switch that a lot of society encourages you to have where generate lots of fake conversation and all that, doesn't mean you are being socially anxious. Most people are kind of broken socially and mentally and so we don't really grow up having an example of what the real thing looks like. 

 

Most major Hollywood actresses, actors, etc, Hollywood people, are socially retarded, and so are most grade A  businesspeople, i.e. most of what are "models" to us are in fact very weak human beings, so people who have actual social skills think they are socially anxious because they measure themselves against people who are very defective. 

 

But I'm not going to press this if anything I say is going to be construed against me somehow.

 

Basically if you are assuming very little about the other person, you are liable to come off as "awkward" but that's you are supposed to do, sputtering a bunch of fake knowledge is what's considered acceptable, but is in fact very harmful at times. 

 

Besides, when you finally get assumption-less people to get going with people they trust, suddenly they transform and you can hardly get them to stop talking.

Or someone more recent, Gal Gadot? You wouldn't, she would be the most annoying person on the face of the planet, probably just barble on about shoes for like 8 straight hours and then blame you for not paying attention.

The concept of  "model" is really even false, if you can persuade people naturally than you shouldn't get to create an artificial "model" for behavior.

You ever wonder why Roy is The Will Of The Herald?  Cabot's scared of her!  He murder-knifed Oghren for stealing cookie dough, but Roy scares him silly.

 

Guarantee you, her tab is never going to be sent to collections.

One of the best parts of the game, which is why I do it so late. Love dwarven ruins. Could do without the game's overkill darkspawn though.
