Truth be told, I never heard about the books until the series. And the only reason I started watching the first season was that I wanted to see Sean Bean looking like Boromir one last time...

Also, always wanted to read Eragon but never got the time to do it. My ex-gf was obsessed with Harry Potter... which is why I never finished the first book. Don't know if I want to.
At the moment (while I'm waiting for the next Iron Druid and A Song of Ice And Fire) I'm catching up with Riyria, which is quite fun.

Thanks Raven, oh it's on now, 'you don't need to be afraid of my father?' sounds bad. Thanks to the DrinkQuisition, I have some stuff to look up. Don't know WTF this 'cheers' is though.

Just finished watching the the 1st episode of S5! Oh man! It feels good to be watching more!

By the way, when we were talking differences with books and series, I really forgot to mention one thing. I was kind of disappointed that Jamie and Tyrion parted on good terms. I loved what Tyrion told Jamie, the words about Cersei always repeating in his head. And I loved the very poetic 'where did whores go?' question, Tyrion asks everybody from the time on he killed Tywin.

I can understand they don't have time for this in the series, but I would appreciate the hate Tyrion feels for his whole family. Don't know why they left Jamie out.

Yeah, that was definitely a loss there that really helped that relationship between the two hit a new point. Shame it wasn't in but I remember watching a talk on YouTube with both the producers and I think they said it was cut because most of that scene was all inside Tyrions head, so it couldn't transition well or something along those lines. There was a reason for it at any rate.

I really don't understand that. I would understand that they need to synch it, but... well, it IS english, right?

BTW. the german synch really is hardcore. Figured at 'Better call Saul', the german version (completely voiced) is out two days after original aired. Pay per view of course, but anyways. It's amazing. Don't know how they do it.

Still, don't like watching in german.

I'm really glad they included that but I'm wondering why? As in why show a flashback. They haven't done them before and even though it worked great, I doubt there will be many more (Tower of Joy could be another one - Maybe find out who became a mother...  ) so it just seems a little strange really. Great though. Loved that episode! Though I was hoping for some more fighting... just gotta wait. Damn I hate waiting.

But there are good vessen (supernatural beings) and bad vessen. Nick is a cop and a Grimm, so he hunts the criminals.
