 That's a beautiful name!

Also... uh oh, I made a big, BIG mistake. You saying you didn't remember got me thinking and trying to remember just where I had read about her. Hobbit, LoTR, Unfinished Tales, I couldn't remember. For some reason, I was thinking she was Thorin's grandma, the wife of the old king under the mountain. Checked Tolkien Gateway... she was mentioned in the LoTR appendicies and she was... KILI'S MOM!

I so owe Bunny a big apology for my response to her posting Kili after I mentioned her name. So inappropriate. Much Oedipus. Wow. :(

Bunny, I'm sorry!!

That explains it. I never read any of his other work besides the Hobbit and Lotr.

I was barely able to make it through those two!

So far, I've only managed to get through the Hobbit. And that took me, I think 3 days. Lord of the Rings is proving more difficult...

The Hobbit is quite easy in comparison to Lotr. Probably cause it was written for children.. While Lotr was for older.

I think it took me a week to nail the first, Fellowship.

Usually only takes me 2 days to complete a book depending on how good it is and the length, etc.

Hey MA, is this book about the arcanist gonna be available online like your Samson fanfic, or are you doing an actual publishing thing?

Hey there Voly.  <3 Thanks for asking, love. ^_^ I'm thinking of using the ebook format and then publish it on Amazon and other such online platforms.

Originally, I was writing it in English. Both the prologue and the first chapter are in this language. But unfortunately, I can't register the book in my country if it's not written in Portuguese (the official language).

So I'll finish the book in Portuguese and then continue writing the English version. I imagine it may be ready by the end of the year.

But if you're interested (or anyone else, for that matter :P ), I can show you the prologue and the first chapter.

It was all the tangents that were in the text that made it difficult for me.

They heard toward this place, but it didn't used to be called that and something happened here that is all but lost to history but rumour has it this one guy did something and then that thing happened and while we're here let's go here and talk more about this other place that may have some correlation to that thing over there and more people did stuff--
Zoned out by this point.....
"Someone is speaking! It's the middle of a conversation? I have no memory of the past 5 pages...."

My Lotr experience in a nutshell. Just hard for me to pay attention.

Dis just met Sera.  "Adorable" was how Sera described her.  Er, well first it was "dwarfy" but then adorable later back at Haven. <3  <3

Hey, MA!  Honestly, I'd rather wait til the whole thing is done.  Reading a prologue and 1st chapter then waiting 8 months... nay, I'll wait :)

Regarding Tolkien, yeah he's a tough nut to crack while reading, but it is definitely worth it imho.  Silmarillion was brutal at times, but once I finally got through them, I must say they're some of the best writing I've ever absorbed.  Course, I think I didn't even finally finish it until my 4th try over a span of about ten years.

EDIT:  *giggles at Royness' "example"*  You forgot to include a poem and two ancient elven songs! ;)

I would love to read them but only if you are sure you want to get these out there, at this point in time.

Yeah she laughs at first.. But when you flirt she gushes over how cute you are. Her responses, Imo are better for a dwarf than Qunari. I mean sure she says woof but I much prefer the cute option.

As for Lotr, it definitely requires patience and is a great written work but it isn't something I can devour and have "fun" with if that makes sense?

I don't--I don't even know how to react to that. Well, I do, but my brain tried to execute them all at once. *drink*
