Naw, I know Tali isn't everyone's cup of tea.  She can be quite the starry-eyed cheerleader type and that can be off-putting to many.  I have no issue with it, personally, but I know quite a few could.  In a way, though, that's why Ash is probably my absolute fav romance option.  She's -not- that.

I don't mind Tali. The only ME characters that bore me or rub me the wrong way are Kaidan and Ash.

I've seen people say she's too earnest or that she falls too easily in love/like with Shepard. Man you could only wish for a girlfriend like Liara. On your team from the get-go, interested in you deeply, intelligent and yes very sexy. She's adorable and the definition of "keeper."

How is that anything to complain about, though? :lol:

 

Besides, it's understandable. She's fascinated with protheans.. Shep touches a prothean beacon.. there's bound to be an instant attraction there.

 

Plus, Kaiden and Ash are no different they pretty much fall for you straight away. You wake up in the med bay, reassure them it wasn't their fault and they have this love-struck dopey look on their faces.
