Okay, so here's a weird thing:
I love Star Wars. When I was young, watching trailers for upcoming movies and getting all psyched in discussion forums wasn't a thing, obviously. Movies came out. Suddenly, they were written in lights outside a theatre, and you would watch them.
Once more: I love Star Wars. However, watching trailer after trailer about it, reading online articles and twitter feeds of actors in excitement... that just... doesn't belong to Star Wars for me. That's new, forgettable modern movie stuff. You do that with the next Will Ferrel comedy, or a new Wachovskis movie.
That's to say, I have NOT watched any of the trailers. Not because I don't care for them, or think they should not be made, and weirdly enough, not even to avoid spoilers. It's because I need to experience a new Star Wars movie the "old fashioned" way. Did the same thing with the prequel trilogy (which I didn't hate), but then again, the internet was exactly as omnipresent as it is now. I don't want to know anything about the movie until I watch the whole thing. Also never bothered to watch making-ofs of the original trilogy, because that would ruin the magic reciprocatively.
TL;DR I'm weird.
*swings open door, puts quiver & backpack down*
Hey folks!
*drops heavily onto chair, pulls hat up slightly and leans back similing*
So uh, Roly... you met that facial tattoo kid in the Flemeth thread?
He once called me a moron and a strawman for arguing that insulting developers is never justified. Just so you can assess how many more minutes of your lifetime you wanna spend typing things for him to ****** all over.
Ahahahaha that poster has always been...well, yeah.
Have I ever told you I read all your posts in Idris Elba's voice?
Eh... the only part that makes me want to see it is the return of Harrison Ford as Han Solo.
Same. Everyone is like "OMFG STERWERS TERLER IT'S AMAZING I NEEDS IT" and I'm sitting here going "...Meh. Oh Han Solo. That should be fun. *drink* I have a friend who is a major Star Wars nut so I enjoy giving him very unenthusiastic reactions to all this.
Hype away, my Star Wars fan friends. Hype away.

Yeah, the guy at the game store today was saying "Oh man it's so good! You HAVE to watch it!" and I have and I just don't get why he, along with everyone else, is so hyped for it.

@Royness: Yeah, you have no idea how excited I was to be getting that thunderstorm. For it to just disappear like that... well, thanks to Paragon, I got the payment for the crows, so mama nature is about to start having a really bad day pretty soon.
@Paragon: You're the best!! Sorry about your feet, but I'm sure Michel or another of your man harem can give you a good foot massage when you get back ![]()
@Dieb: I know I'm kinda being a jackass in that thread, albeit unintentionally. Thing is, I would have at least been willing to read this file he keeps going on about, but when I asked for it's location, he just responded with some glib "so you haven't even read it" which I figured was alread obvious from my previous responses, so *shrug.* I just had to assume from his response that -he- hasn't even read it and is just parroting what others have said about some file somewhere.
Oh well, fark it. The dawn has come *Roly glares at Mother Giselle as she looks like she's about to burst into song* and as of right before hitting the rack last night, I have a guard-giving dagger to play with! But... coffee first
*Assigns a very unhappy Inquisition recruit to deliver a crate of druffalo burgers to Antiva then orders a coffee*
I can give the text of the developer notes, and people are willing to use that as a base because of how confusing that post epilogue scene. It answers some questions for people, and right now that is all we have. Wish people would understand dev notes are not canon and subject to change at the whims of the devs as the story needs.

Good morning, my dear DQ...

After coffee:

There's a new new Star Wars trailer?
Looks like people are still finding out about it!
Ahahahaha that poster has always been...well, yeah.
Have I ever told you I read all your posts in Idris Elba's voice?
Mission accomplished then. But just to burst your bubble right there, he works out more than I do.

Not really, you're not.
It doesn't matter what value his or your information has, it's the general air in which he talks down to everybody. Save us the "snarky science guy in a nerd forum" persona, we've all been around the cyberspace block for a while.

*Head desks* I always fail on subtle!
Anyhoo, I finally discovered why my ME1 wasn't showing up with the other games and decided to rectify it. Well guess what I discovered when I fired it up. My fav "canon" Shep (though I really don't like that phrase cuz I think they're all legit) only ever had one ME1 playthrough and was only level 49. Well, I can't have that, so hail the rebirth of T*ts Shepard! ![]()
Woohoo! Soooo excited to be playing her again. Most badass Shepard I ever had. I'm gonna delete her ME2/ME3 saves and run her through the whole bloody trilogy again.
Oh but Roy, that still does in no way prove that what happened wasn't exactly what Flemeth wanted to happened. Not trying to continue the debate here -and you know I love both Solas and Flemeth, so this isn't about "who's cooler"- but if anything, the very last sentence strongly hints that it was in fact not surprising for Flemeth what he did. And she's always prepared.
Also, and that's just ol' Hawke-sibling-lovin, Sera-tutorin', family man me: I love BioWare for the wonderful motherly love path they ended up taking for Flemeth. Not kidding.
Thanks for posting this anyways, I was a little worried for a moment that ominous file flatout said stuff like "Cutscene, Solas kills Flemeth like a sucker. Next scene..."
Every time they post I wonder "what's up your bum, dude?" *drink*
Need to go pick up some pork shoulder for dinner later. Don't burn the place down without me.

Okay, I've come across this a couple of times in the BSN now but I don't get why people think the Dalish are based on the Welsh - is it due to the accent? As far as I recall most of the Dalish have Irish accents. I can't remember much about Origins but certainly DA2 and Inquisition elves did. I'm not Irish but I recognise the accent well enough by now.
*Drinks in confusion*

Well, Cardiff is in Wales, and as we all know from our Doctor Who and Torchwood documentaries, there is a spacetime rift there. One could extrapolate that this is actually a weakness in the fade near Cardiff. Subconsciously, the Dalish are attuned to this spacetime rift/fade weakness and... and... you know, I thought I could go somewhere with this, but I got nothing. Sorry ![]()
*drinks a bit then returns to Eden Prime which he wants to wrap up before going back to Dis at Skyhold*
EDIT: Also, you just got my last like, as I discovered as I tried to like Bunny's Grease GIF. Since I can't like it, I can at least post a grease video!

Is it Dalish=Brythonic resisters vs Human/Saxon invaders leading to a clanishness/suspicion of outsiders/woodsy types and let's not forget the Welsh were historically well versed in the long-bow as are the Dalish.
No that doesn't make a lot of sense to me either. Like Roly I fear I have nothing. Let's go with the Whovian space time rift. ![]()

Not cancelling contract, though, as I shouldn't have to resort to violence to get my weather. Next Mother Nature, take note!

It is entirely based on people interpreting their accents to be mostly Welsh in DA2. A lot of people wanted a fifth Welsh voice to use for Dalish Inquisitors because after DA2 all Dalish are supposed to have Welsh or Irish accents? *drink* People are strange.

I AM SO JEALOUS! Have fun!
Best chance of storms my way is on Sunday. *drink to thunder*
Gareth David-Lloyd (Solas) and Eve Myles (Merrill) are Welsh. Ianto and Gwen are Torchwood elf spies. ![]()
I thought maybe Eve Myles was putting on an Irish accent with Merrill's voice, though I'm neither Welsh nor Irish. *shrugs*
Well, there's pork and BBQ sauce and Dr Pepper involved.

By the Maker! Guard makes -all- the difference in the world. Dis is whacking people and building guard quicker than they can knock it out most of the time now. That combined with the healing masterwork armor and she's just an unstoppable juggernaut of slicey dicey. That's convenient since that's what I named her two daggers. Slicey. Dicey. Life is good.

D'aww, does my heart good to see MA in such a good mood, though not sure if Cullen's aid feels the same way!
