Just played the introductory sequence again.

 

I'm actually suprised how awesome and story-ish I thought it is, since I remember being unsatisfied with it the first time ever playing it.

 

But that's how it is with BioWare games somehow... as a roleplayer, you kinda have to have peeked into the script to play your own character better. It's always considerably more fun the second time around, at least for me.

From the beginning to the attack on Haven is possibly my favorite gaming experience in a decade or more. Meeting your companions, the feeling of desperation, the climatic battle, all of it.

I remember why I did not go with a manlier beard for my character the first time... metrosexually groomed straight hair and that weird shiny shader effect just look ridiculous with a fro buzz :/

 

edit: Though I must hand it to them, I have never had such a fine selection of fro buzzes in a game so far.

I've noticed that.  In fact, probably going to make my next human male character black just so I don't have to do bald again.  Finally be able to sport some cool hair!  Plus I admit it's a bit of "I wanna be like Ser Barris" mixed in.  That guy is too cool.

Getting a little pissed at the whole Dragon's Bane achievement thing.  Verana whacked all ten of them back in January and I never got it.  Read up on issues, so now Beren has whacked three and I save before each battle, kill it, reload the save (hard save, not quick btw) and kill it again.  Still won't trigger.  Shite better trigger soon.  I have that and my hard/nightmare ones and I'm all done for the main game.

 

*Roly notes ME1 still doesn't appear below his avatar and isn't encouraged at  the prospects for Dragon's Bane.  Drinks dragon p*ss angrily.*

On a different note, this week's being so weird...everybody's fighting each other on facebook, my teacher hasn't contacted me yet about my dissertation and I can't seem to write or exercise myself properly.

 

It's like God went on holiday  and some trickster deity took his place.
