1) Maybe the Dalish don't reek. Maybe they have the same metabolism as that of quarians.
2) Ah, the good old rethoric of saying X is bad, but Y is worse. Always comparing 2 things with the purpose of casting one of them in a negative light. What a childish mentality. Some people are stuck with binary thinking (If A is good, then B is bad). Maybe A and B are actually similar if you consider information you've chosen to ignore. Or have failed to consider at all.
A pity they can't see things are not so black and white in real life. Reality demands a more sophisticated way of thinking so that a person may understand it past superficial appearances.
