I am back from the salon and thoroughly blonde-ified and I couldn't be happier!

Love it! No photos until my face clears up and my lighting makes it stop looking orange though. :)

As regards languages, I'm gonna quote posts I made in 2006 and 2007 respectively in another forum...

Depends on the language. I happen to think Russian and German are beautiful languages, but I don't understand them at all. I'll happily listen to a song with lyrics in either of those languages if I also like the music. The beauty of the languages just adds to the music in that case.

Could have sworn I posted in this over a year ago, but I guess not.

Beautiful
  • German
  • Russian
  • Romanian
  • The Black tongue of Mordor

Ugly

  • Italian
  • French
  • Thai

Thing is, I am glad I don't speak/understand them because then I don't think I would be able to judge them as beautiful or not.  I have no idea how to judge English, for example.  It's simply "language" to me and processed as information, not art, by my brain.  Now, some accents are more lovely than others, but the language itself?  Not a clue how it "sounds" as a language.  Hope that makes sense.

As regards bathrooms.  Those without fans should be outlawed, and it should be mandatory to keep glade or febreeze right on the back of the toilet.  Upon punishment of death.

I support this. And what's more, I support this.

Have I already said I support this?

:P

People who leave floaters! You don't leave a sh*t floating in the toilet for someone else to deal with! YOU DON'T DO IT!

  That such a thing even has to be said speaks volumes about the lack of proper toilet etiquette worldwide.

Did anyone notice that the Bioware mod who closed it has the number of the beast for post count?

Would be nice. Alas, I think a mod would have to be really insulted for something like that to happen, and we all know mods are made of sturdier stuff than the common poster.

Number of the beast?

Edit:

Oh, interesting. Unfortunately, that post was number 665.

Ha!

Number of the beast?

From the Book of Revelation 13:18

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

I believe in the old ME drinking games, for every thread closed for being 'off topic' or going 'too far' - X measure of drink.

What determines the X?

The left hand of God moves again. And sweeps sinful souls to be judged in the Armageddon.

...Sorry, I don't know what I'm saying. *hiccup* Can't quite hold my liquor...
