gosh Kiwi's are so cute, and lay huge eggs (compared to their small size). I can't say I've tried Kangaroo yet..

Yes I eat kangaroo. Most of the meat in my house is kangaroo in fact.

As for Isabela, let people hate on her all they want.

So the British tried to kill them but their descendants kept them alive.

It's more that Kiwi birds are listed as endangered (or 2 strains of Kiwi bird are) so are now protected and mainly in wildlife sanctuaries and breeding programs. As humans do.
