It's more that Kiwi birds are listed as endangered (or 2 strains of Kiwi bird are) so are now protected and mainly in wildlife sanctuaries and breeding programs. As humans do.

Exactly. Koalas are the same. Dropbears too.

So, essentially, nature has demanded that they die, but people have kept them alive because they're "cute."

I think they people have kept alive them alive in an effort of making up for introducing the predators that made them endangered in the first place in their habitat.

Also, that frozen gif reminds me of CaptivatingKS so much. I honestly can't imagine her NOT singing everything she says.  Damn time zones that make it difficult to be online the same time <.<

Nature didn't introduce rats though, the British did.
So the British tried to kill them but their descendants kept them alive.

I think they people have kept alive them alive in an effort of making up for introducing the predators that made them endangered in the first place in their habitat.

Okay, I was mistaken. I thought they had migrated or something. No, if humans are the cause, then we should help. If not, then I say let nature take it's course. You can't fight nature.

I'm not art-minded in terminology too :D I'm just... trying. And thank God for Photoshop.

I did it.

And you said you can't draw.  Good job, Dame.  ^_^

You can get it for "free". You can download older versions from Adobe for free or, you can go sneaky. I haven't done it myself because I don't need to but I think it's along the lines of you download the free trial and then remove something so that when the trial ends, it doesn't send the message back saying it's ended, so you can still use it. Adobe have said that they don't care about that so long as you aren't using it for commercial use. If you do, and you get caught, well, you're f*cked.

I used to have a 'free' older version of it, but I wasn't smart enough to use it, this was years ago so of course I forgot I could do it that way until your helpful reminder haha.

There will probably be instructions somewhere online. Just make sure you don't make money from it, for whatever. Well, commercially anyway.

You can download free applications. Gimp is very similar to adobe photoshop (if not pretty much the same). Totally free, you just have to look out for them - I'm sure there are more. I prefer applications where you draw directly on the screen with a stylus. Colors! 3D is a fabulous application and if you have a 3DS you get the added bonus of creating and viewing in 3D.

That's interesting, thanks :D. I'll probably stick to pencils and paper though. Harder to get onto a computer but I make enough mistakes as it is haha :)

If all you want it Photoshop, then I suppose you could use them alternatives. If you want other applications like Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects etcetera, then you will need Photoshop. You won't be able to use an alternative.

I prefer pen/pencil and paper myself. The imperfections are what make a piece far more interesting.

If you are a professional, then yes adobe all the way, but gimp is pretty good and without the hefty price tag.  I don't use either although I have in the past.  You are doing Graphic Design, yes?  Do you get access to adobe from uni?

Just got a new patch update for DA:I. It's 3GB so I'm guessing this includes all the new stuff for Multiplayer.

A bit early isn't it? .. buut then a lot of people need to download the patch so it'll be a pre-load type thing.

I'm on PS4. As far as I am aware, there isn't much pre-loading available. Maybe it's just setting it up, and I will have to download the DLC tomorrow. I can't seem to log in to the Dragon Age Server or access Multiplayer though.

Edit:

I'll tell you in 45 minutes. That's how long I got left of the download.  ^_^

ah well, I'm on PC and don't have any update for it at all. Pc is usually the system that gets preload. Maybe some people might have access early, no idea. it's 8:30pm on the 4th may for me right now, I expect to have to wait until the 6th at around 3-ish pm.

I don't know what that is but it sounds cool :)  It's all out there if you look for it.  My husband has just downloaded Unity which is a cross platform game engine (Pillars of Eternity uses Unity) for free.  The free version is same as the pro version except you get support with the pro.  I think if you release a game using it you have to pay royalties or something.

Edit:  Thanks for the heads up Sparkles on the download - I'll do it tonight on free-zone.

It's set for release tomorrow, which is the 5th. Are you playing it right now? Maybe turn it off and on again.

It's not even 12pm here yet, so you should, technically speaking, have it before me.
