I never really cared much for The Witcher honestly. On the other hand, it may coincidentally take away a lot of the hatred on the BSN if all the "look at how they do it, yer imbiciles" folks disappeared all of a sudden.

I just wish they'd stop comparing it and measuring it.
They are both very different games.

I had a very good look at all installments. They are quality games and are to my gusto in almost all regards, but the main guy just doesn't swing with me. Also there's something about the combat. Aaaaaand *five year old tone* I have to be a rogue in a fantasy-set game; or at least more rogueish than he is, gameplay wise.
Same reason I never managed to care about Lords of the Fallen and most Gothics.

Yeah that's one of the downsides to The Witcher.
You're playing as a set character without any room for customization. Considering the game is based heavily on a book series about Geralt, it would be hard to implement that. Unless they make a future game and base it in the universe, not about Geralt.
Still, it is very addictive. I only played the first game.. couldn't get the second to run.

Don't wanna drag this too far, but the game I'm currently looking forward to is the new Mad Max
I was quite surprised at all the customizability & freedom. You can build your own car, and edit even your leather jacket armor & your hideout; and it has a mashup of the Fallout & Shadows of Mordor active faction systems. (Plus it is true to the original in being very "Aussie")
Come on, daddy wants a good Mad Max game in 30 years. Please don't suck!

I'm a BioWare fan girl. In the last 5 years I don't think I've played anything other than Dragon Age or Mass Effect...
I just love the customization of your own character. It doesn't feel like roleplaying to me if I don't get to decide on the character, no matter how many choices there are throughout the game play.

Really? 5 years and nothing but Dragon Age? I know you've only recently just played and completed the Mass Effect trilogy so... that's a lot of Dragon Age. ![]()

I also don't game nearly as much as you folks. I find a game I like and I cling to it.
But yeah, I have 7 complete playthroughs of DA:O. Oh, and one playthrough of DA2 which I'm never touching again.
Oh wait! I had DnD Online mixed in there somewhere too, for about 6 months.

I'm definitely a BioWare fanboy, too, don't worry. I ALWAYS "currently" play one of their games, next to an "other" game.
When everything else fails, they're always there for you, aren't they.

Oh, I love Bioware don't get me wrong - but there is no way I'm not going to pick this game up - and I've never played any of the series because it was just for PC? I've always played on Playstation. Would I prefer that I could create my own character - I don't know, I think I admire their integrity in sticking with the one person and at least allowing to you shape the personality through choices (I hope). I suck at role playing in any case
Anyway, I'm not comparing the 2 games just looking forward to a new experience - as I will be when I pick up ME4 when it's released.
Oh, we need to get a chalk board for behind the bar so we can keep track of OBBs (could have sworn there were 3 but that could have been a drug induced dream I had last night - this is what happens when we let IR go on vacation) I'll get on it. * Waves to Dazzle* you were in my dream last night, *points to Donk* and you ... and you and ....

I am ninety percent sure I am not sick. But I am not sure I have ever had an allergy attack like this. Ever.
