A truly moral person is far more terrifying than an 'evil' one
Also, evil is way more fun.

I'm kinda hoping for something like the DA series' version of Omega next game.
I won't be disappointed if it goes to Tevinter or Seheron but I'd prefer Rivain.
Ooh that would be nice (Rivain rather then Tevinter / Qun-lands) , we know far too much about Tevinter, be nice to hang around somewhere different.
I will say that the Inquisitor ended up my favourite PC, because of the character concept I "came up" with. It should be obvious by now that my favourite movies of all time are Indiana Jones, so this character is basically a Thedosian version of that.
Kelevra is a seasoned treasure hunter and adventurer-for-hire. Mostly working for the university in Val Royeaux, he traveled the world in search for ancient ruins & artifacts. He's in his mid fourties, seen some stuff and did many things, in a lot of places. Not even gonna correct that.
His main weapon is a Longbow (of the Griffon), which due to its nature, I roleplay as being just another one of the makeshift tools he crafted for himself. He's not really an "archer", though, nor someone who pays much attention to the graceful, perfectionist aspects of it - hence I didn't skill Longshot or Full Draw. He focuses more on Sabotage and Artificer trees; the "Hook & Tackle" grappling hook being his signature piece of all his "tools". Explosive arrowheads, traps, throwing knives... he makes up with versatility and equipment for what he lacks in grace, nimbleness and formal training.
What I'm glad about the most with this idea, is that I can play a snarky, magically 100% incapable Rogue (I always make a point out of the Batman approach, i.e. tools & cunning to make up for a complete abundance of superhuman abilities), who yet happens to still indulge in mystery & the arcane without being unreasonably scared by it; as well as possessing in-depth history & cultural knowledge. It's usually the mages or non-adventurery, robe bearing types who are educated. I always felt there's a disconnect between "getting all them dialogues" and roleplaying the character consistently, and so with him, I don't have that anymore.
P.S.: Sorry for boring y'all with stuff nobody cares as much for as I do, but I got excited there cause I rarely shared by headcanon before.
That's pretty good, really
Headcanoning a past and then playing accordingly is what role-playing is all about ![]()
My emerald crusader is a few years older than Cassandra and actually has two adult children with a long-dead spouse. She's also a descendant of an Emerald Knight who died in the defence of the Dales and whose family fled with a group that would eventually form the Clan. The family also carried on the oaths of the Knights which she now upholds as the eldest descendant. These little things made the gameplay and choices so much more interesting (like visiting the emerald graves) and the ending i got more satisfying (Templars gone and their memory sullied, Chantry ruled by Darth Leliana, Orlais under the thumb of an elf).
Headcanon is the best canon ![]()

*runs around in a panic*
I only have one dislike about this game, too many giant spiders, and poison spiders, spiders in general. The scare the daylights out of me. I literally jump a little every time one shows up on my screen lol. (just survived the Forbidden oasis cave full of spiders).
::Yawn:: Bed time for me, Drinkquisitors. Loved a chance to discuss head canon.

I think your characterization is very interesting, Dieb. He comes off as the kind of guy who would have a real story before the events of the game, which was very difficult for me to get the knack of imagining with my Inquisitors.
...my Artificer is absolutely fascinated by the Arcane. I head canon that she and Dagna research together. A lot. ![]()
It's always fascinated me how despite having apostates, the Chantry, Dalish, pirates and the Qun within it's borders, Rivain hasn't caught fire.
Elfroot bongs. There's your answer. Everyone is too high to start fights. Including the demons.

Haha, I actually incorporated another knockoff detail into my character by giving him a fear of spiders (which I don't have IRL); reminiscient of Indy's notorious fear of snakes.
After the Fade, you can talk to Sera about the experience, and you will get the option to comment on the fears being displayed as spiders - I was positively amused by the option to basically go "I'm not afraid. Well, a little. Maybe. Shut up." so I had to pick it over the "I'm too loco for fear."

Haha yeah I loved that option with Sera, I think it's only if you take her to the fade with you. It was nice of the writers to let us define why the fear demons looked like spiders to the Inquisitor, and I don't even need to headcanon a fear of spiders rofl. I see Kirrah as scared of spiders, darkspawn and giants but happily (and over-enthusiastically) hunting down dragons. No logical reason, a bit like Sera now I think about it.

Ah, on your way to the Barkspawn shop'o'wonders?
It never ceases to amaze me how apparently a gajillion predatory and solitary creatures like spiders can co-exist in the most cramped tunnels in this game...

Well, like I said, it's only partially original. But then again we all have our archetype we drag through our video game existence established at some point, don't we now!
What I like is that I made a point out of all his combat abilities being somewhat related to "the job"; and being bastardized tools rather than actual fighting skills with a singular purpose.
His combat performance is perfectly summed up in these few seconds:

One word. Magic! . Well, probably much tolerance to each other and a lot of tiny spaces they can crawl up in. And I was hanging around the Solasan temple place, Hissing Wastes for some better gear schematics is next on my list though
. Then back to Exalted Plains. I feel sorry for my party members sometimes, all that rubberbanding travelling from many areas I do.
*Paragon wanders into the bar, trips and falls over Dame's supine form.*
To much Ds here
Well, this D *points at herself* is out for the night.
Thank you vodka.
Good night, DQ!..

Oh no, Dame! You didn't drink that vodka did you? It's for external use only as per the instructions!
*Drags Dame to a safe corner and puts in recovery position*
Wait, it wasn't the cheese was it? *Digs a mozzarella out of pocket, blows off the lint and sniffs gingerly* Nope, it's still good. *Stuffs the cheese into Dame's outstretched hand.* Here, in case you get snackish when you wake up ![]()
Slow down there, kiddo. I'll make sure Cabot has your usual ready for you in the morning. Hope you can get some decent sleep.
Yeah, sorry - I turned into a bit of a Ser Flounce-a-lot there
*Notices drinks on bar left by Cabot* Thanks IR, you're a pal
Hey Cabot, toss me the cellar keys, I promised The Will I'd keep an eye on the chee ......
..... vermin situation while she's on vacation. Hand me those crackers will you I need to .... um .... re-bait the traps, oh and that jar of chutney.
I was hesitant to link this, because definitely is NOT to be taken lightly or to make fun of it, but some times the SJW (actually I would be a SJRogue, because I pick my fights) gets incensed when I see samples of how twisted can be a community of gamers if left unchecked (click the link on the spoiler at your own risk)

Oh, thanks for that - something to get locked (an Irish expression to get drunk) to ![]()
@Sparkles - I like your posters they are bold and would draw my attention.
@Rest of DQ - so far in Inquisition I have only created 2 characters one in my main PS3 playthrough dwarven human mage female and my PS4 human warrior female (I really envy PC character creation). So have yet to play as dwarf, qunari or elf. I totally suck at role-playing though but I'm gonna give it a good go because I think I'm missing out. I guess my next character will be Lindiss, a bow-wielding elf with a hankering to see the Elves return to their former glory and a hatred of all things Chantry.

Eh, I don't know. My characters do often go with the diplomatic tact and my defaults are often infused with my morality, but my headcanon for their personality ranges a bit of a gamut apart from that.
My default Inquisitor is my only "tech geek" amongst my DA protagonists. She is the only arcanist as well, and she's more eccentric than my Hawke and Warden were. I do try to go for distinct personalities, though whether I succeed would certainly be up for interpretation.
I enjoyed reading about your archetype. ![]()
Anyway, really off to sleep now. Ta. ![]()

Have you checked out that dog in Tactics? "Loyal Betyar" is a f*cking lvl 30 Elite with 70,000 hitpoints.
The poison spiders and the Sand Howler have formed an alliance to plead for him to remain in the canyon; and in turn pay him on a weekly basis for things to stay that way.

I didn't know that he was such a beast! lol. I rarely use tactical camera, only really during boss fights to make my party members get out of crap on the ground. Makes nightmare mode a tad harder , and seeing as it's the last achievement I have left to get I chicken out of it a lot. I should probably re-start DAI and import my most recent DA2 save to the keep for the world state.. hmm. I do really want that achievement and I have 2-1/2 days kid-free to get past hinterlands on nightmare mode for starters.

Morning darlin' dears.
That has to be photoshoped.
Morning, D. Sleep well?
Hm. I don't have default characters like y'all seem to.
I mean, my first is always a Female Noble Rogue, but once I get a game I intend on seeing all the content, so I play as many characters as it takes to get there!
I've played everything from sweet and bookish, to snarky and brilliant, to downright diabolical and socipathic.
