Oh for.. I ran right up to a rift not really concentrating, got 5 wraiths and a shade or 2 on me and then realised I was playing on nightmare, then I died. I am very smart.

Morning darlings.
*headdesk* It's too early and I don't want to make my gross office coffee. I want proper espresso and steamed milk. *pout*

I got carded when buying rum today. At 31, I'm not sure how to take this.
At least this place knows I'm no teenager even when I have shaved
That's how i felt last month, I recently-ish moved house and suburb, so could no longer easily shop at my old local alcohol shop. New place asks me for my ID every time I go there, it's a little unnerving lol.

I'm 24, but I haven't been carded since I turned 22! I always think security should be tighter, and I always ask "Do you need to see my ID?" because I don't want them to get fined!

whaaat, am I not allowed to not know how old I am? hahaha. Our adult age thing is 18yo here in Australia, not 21 so after that I didn't really need to know my age. haha

I did that too. Then I hit 30 and people felt obligated to tell me that I'm 30. ![]()

Most of the world gives adult recognition and responsibility to older teens. America is the Nanny State.
Last time I was carded, I was in my 30s too. Now it could only happen as a joke.

I don't do anything for my birthdays anymore. Stopped giving a sh*t at 16. Yeah, I didn't have a 16th birthday party, or an 18th and I don't plan on ever having another.

The only reason I had an 18th was because my parents made me go to a birthday dinner. Also my 21st was a birthday + engagement party at the time. I'm no longer engaged but still with the same guy, we had a big break up then decided to start over in our relationship. We're going well now, even have a kid but not engaged or married and no plans. We're happier this way for now lol.

Y'all are crazy. Why would you turn down an excuse to host a party? Especially one in your honour?

I was bought up with the idea that someone else hosts your birthday in your honour. That must just be my family though, they're finicky like that, plus I'm poor. I am hosting my daughter's birthdays though! she turns 2 in 8 days.

Because it's celebrating your ever closing gap towards death...

I'm finicky about decor, so I like to host my own parties. I'm like Mordin: "Someone else would get it wrong." ![]()
