My friend was over two nights ago and when she heard Cassandra speak, she claimed she sounded like one of the Sand Snakes from Game of Thrones.

I completely disagree with her, but it seemed like a thing to mention.

it's not uncommon to create a voice accent for a character. Actors and voice actors do it all the time in their profession so this is very highly likely.

Yeah, it probably is... I've been looking a bit around the interwebz and people say it's like a mix of germanic, french and greek

 

I bet Josie's is also made up, she doesn't sound as italian as her sister in the ball and definitely not  spanish (as Vincento in DA2).

Josie is definitely Mediterranean influence. I know Allegra Clark would practice Italian in the car on her way to recording so she could have the accent fresh in her mind.

Trying to decide whether to buy Witcher 3 on GOG or not.  Checking Steam, it seems I bought 1 and 2 both on 7/15/2012 and have a grand total of 21 minutes in 1, zero time in 2.  Decisions, decisions...

How come you haven't played them? I'm not counting those 21 minutes as actual playing because you can't do anything in a game in 21 minutes. Did you not like it?

roflmao Roly, nice rant . I can't play rpg's with a controller, I need mouse and keyboard. Mostly because I'm used to that. I played 78 minutes of witcher 2, it wasn't too bad.

Yeah, actually, that is why.  I remember thinking "OMG, these are the worst PC controls (*) I have ever experienced."  I put up with it for, apparently, 21 minutes then just shut the game down.

 

(*) - By that I mean mouse and keyboard (suck it, pc people who use console controllers )  I did actually buy an XBOX controller for windows.  That was a total waste as it sits even now on my desk, never used.  The problem with it is simply that I don't have 30 years of muscle memory on it like I do a keyboard and mouse.  I have no idea what all the buttons are and I don't have the patience to get used to it, which I shouldn't have to on a PC because...tada... keyboard and mouse.

 

Oh, holy crap, I think I have to down like an entire bottle now for doing that rant... IN THE DQ thread.

Then I don't think you would like TW3. From my understanding, the controls haven't changed much.

Cass hated me on my first run.

 

To be honest.. I wasn't too fond of her either. She gave off this vibe she was PMSing hardcore.. or maybe already MSing.. and needed to change her tampon really bad but was stuck taking my Inquisitor to Haven.. although I imagine, they don't use tampons in Thedas. They probably go real old school and use rags.

 

Genius! That just gave me an idea. 

 

But anyway, back to the point.. as I progressed through the game, I found myself changing my mind about her. And while the religious thing is irritating.. I grew to respect her and trust her.
