Gotta be careful with electricity. Once my grandfather set fire to his own house by forgetting to turn off Christmas lights. Burned the whole Christmas tree and left a black mark on the wall. Terrible.

Don't worry, the fan isn't completely useless. It serves the dual purpose of preventing the notebook from cooking its insides, which can happen if they are starting to get old.
