My previous Inquisitor ended up yelling at Celene, Briala and Gaspard moments before forcing them to work together
I wish there was a line at that point to say "I'm no one's friggin toy!" since all three are playing you against the other 2 lol.
Drinkquisition! (assuredly nsfw)

Aye, and the Inquisitor, aka someone with absolutely zero experiance in the Game, manages to master the Game and out-play the most influential nobles and the Empress in a single night. Talk about perfect story-writing
. Well technically if you mess up you can be kicked out and game over rofl.

Granted the Inquisitor had a lot of help, not only in companions/ advisors, but in the mere fact that all three participants left their dirty laundry all over the place. Leaving the Inquisitor to pick up the pieces and figure things out. Blackmail is a powerful weapon. When you consider that neither of the three were at their best, fighting with each other tends to do that, AND the fact that many Inquisitors would not master the game (mine certainly didn't) and its understandable and pretty good writing.
Just thought of too the Inquisitor also, being a noble...might like being a noble...and thus also experienced at the equivalent of the game in the Free Marches.

Yeah the dirty laundry left everywhere was a quest design thing to make things hella easy. I doubt that would have -really- happened if that situation was real but lol. I played human mages, so yeah noble parents but stripped of that and raised to follow chantry edict and orders in a circle. There's no way she knew how to do a bloody thing there. I like to headcanon that Josephine gives the Inquisitor a ton of lessons and pointers on the long journey from Skyhold to Halamshiral
. Oh and if you succeed getting Court Approval over 85 npc's merchants etc comment that you are a master of the Game . just a little info there ![]()
Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the Winter Palace quest, it was a nice different sort of main story quest. I liked it a lot.

Yeah one thing you do not appreciate in games is how long the distance is to travel in a game like that. I head canon...since ME 2..that every ten hours of gameplay equals a month. So my 85 hour first playthrough is eight and a half months.

David Gaider gave a guess at the timeframe of Inquisition (from Haven to Cory's death) to be around 3 years. He said that in a tweet when he still worked on the team. A few fans have written up and measured using Thedas map scales available, how long it takes to get from one place to another on average, not counting weather/mountains etc of course.

The one gripe I have about the Winter Palace is I would not have been able to know what the Hell was going on with those three, or why I should even care, or why it freakin' matters, if I had not read The Masked Empire.

Ah. Yeah I have similar feelings about the Hawk/ Stroud choice in the fade. Or Hawk/Warden more specifically.

Oh! I applied for access to that awhile back. She... she never approved me. I mean, sure, I understand, competition from the true princess of the DrinkQuisition and all...
She did the same to be, bro. Can't blame her, I mean, all I do is cause mayhem.
As far as I can determine, using my Special Powers™, you are both members of the Stardome. You should be able to view and post and such already.

Well, you wonderful people, I am off to the Exalted Plains for a bit. Have some undead to take care of, a Dalish clan to earn favor from, and a spirit friend in need. *drinks*

It didn't really...but the Inquisitor...as a character...really should not have any personal stake in the choice...and bugger she is gone.

But yeah the distances and times from the Thedas map scale for main quest line travel matched the around 3 years guess Gaider gave. Which I found interesting, it certainly feels like only months pass in-game lol

Yeah, as a player, we knew Hawke and the Warden (whomever is may be in our play throughs) from previous games. Our Inquisitors just met them. Okay you get to decide who lives and who dies. As a player, that choice hurt me more than my Inquisitor.
Okay, really gone now. I hate not having my laptop!
