It was after the piratequisition I found it while helping the villagers clean up. Picked it up and put it in my valuables which I then sold before returning to Skyhold. I can get it back! This is no laughing matter! how does someone accidentally sell my staff?
*smashes a bottle against the far wall and stalks off to a corner to sulk*
Drinkquisition! (assuredly nsfw)

That's why I stifled it!
Does this staff have Boobies on it by any chance?
*Stifles another laugh... see's Ashaantha shooting dagger eyes* Oh, crap.
It was not. It was the bookseller that doesn't sell books.
Oh, him! You know, I always thought it odd that we could never return his books to him after finding them in The Hinterlands.

Haha! And why not..
I mean, we have a minstrel who just stands there and does nothing.
Wait that's a cardboard cut-out, innit?
I laughed so hard at that.

Advise me, DrinkQuisition. I have always thought of DA as just a video game series and have resisted considering other sources for the world. I've come to decide that this is limiting (derp?) and want to expand my knowledge of the DA verse. I am seeing a lot of stuff on Amazon, but don't really know where to start.
All of the purchases will be for my Kindle, but what should I get first? I am thinking the books, but I see some comics as well (including this compilation of all the comics) and those World of Thedas thingies. So... comics? books? compendiums? If books, what order?

I want the World of Thedas books. The Dragon Age wiki tells me enough to satisfy me about the plots etc of the comics and novels lore-wise.

I like that staff! one of my mages runs around using it, nothing left to do with her until next DLC sadly so I semi-rp my more recent mage who uses a dragon staff ![]()
Sad, sad people complaining about naked lady staff.. people are never happy *drinks*

If you want to read the books and comics in order it would be:
The Stolen Throne
The Calling
(DAO, DAA, DA2)
The comics: Silent Grove, Those Who Speak, Until We Sleep
Asunder and The Masked Empire overlap each other time frame wise.
The comics follow Alistair, so if you like the kid I'd say get it.
World of Thedas is a compilation of lore. Volume one gives an over view of Thedas; Volume two goes deeper into the legend that is Andraste, including selections from the chant of light. It also goes over the major players in all three games. If you're curious to know about all your companions it's a fun thing to have. I find them hard to read on Kindle; text and pictures too small.
Edit: I started out small and first purchased The Stolen Throne and The Calling. Got addicted, bought the rest.

You could probably get a local bookshop to order them for you?
All you need is a certain number, of the item? Ugh forgot what it was called, but places like Amazon show that number or code..
Can someone help me out?
Only problem is, it will still be expensive and you'll still have to wait..

Yeah, i still need to pay that international shipping fee going through the bookstore then on top of it paying them for doing the order for me. S'all good I can wait unless they suddenly go completely out of stock lol, i've internationally ordered and recieved stuff from Bioware store and Blizzard store perfectly fine in the past. Just need the cash ![]()

That's the one!
Thanks.
I've considered reading the books but what put me off, is I tried reading the first ME book? The one about Anderson in his younger years, when he meets Sanders.. Anyway, I couldn't finish it. I found it utterly boring.
And usually game based books are crappy.

Bad news, the dwarf doesn't have your staff. He, er...he sold it.
He did give me a description of the buyer and the direction they were going.
