Well, I always wanted coffee on my desk.  And monitor.  And keyboard.  So thanks for that I guess!

Glad I could help you with that!

Now, why the Hell am I covered with leeches!?

Ugh.  Can't even get my day going without a daily text from my sister in law wanting a picture of her dog because she misses him.

Glad I could help you with that!

Quit seeing that quack "doctor" out in the courtyard and stick to reliable magical healing.

*sips his crappy coffee and wishes Dazzle were here with some quality stuff*

I didn't! I absolutely refused medical attention after the bear attack even though Solas offered to help. A few gashes and broken ribs don't require leeches...

Okay, so I figured why start a new character when I can just import an old one?

Meet Kashya, Hero of the 5th Blight, Warden Commander of Amaranthine, pulling of a reverse-Blackwall.

Can I say how awesome the Warden armor looks on females? It's my favourite heavy armor by a long shot, and I like how it manages to look very feminine, knight-like, yet still highly protective and pratical.

Happy to entertain.
*walks into Herald's Rest looking like she was mauled by a bear, carrying a staff and the bear that mauled her*
Good news: I have your staff.
*hands Ashaantha her staff*
Also have a great bear hide I'm going to use for my new armor....after a drink.
*instead she collapses in a heap*

thankyou Iynroy!! For the staff, and it looks like you brought dinner?

*Paragon mooches into the bar slowly (splinters from sliding down the mast in PirateQuisition and a thick head from too much rum).*

Morning all.  Ugh Cabot, better make it OJ and slip some painkillers in there would ya.  *Glances at the dead bear oozing blood over the floor*

Bear steak on the menu again?  Ooh ...... who left the pretty, shiny staff here on the bar all on it's lonesome  *lowers voice and reaches out*   That looks valua...... aaaarrrrgghhhhhhhhh!!'

Beaker3_280.gif

*Thud*

*grins mischievously* It had to get someone!

*Roly wakes up to a dead bear, a smouldering Paragon, and a rather flighty Ashaantha bouncing around with a swanky staff*

WTF is going on in here?!   Volus trying to sleep, people!

*bounces around and throws glitter at Roly*

So I'm about to do Champions of the Just on nightmare but last night I barely survived Valammar - I was the only one left standing in the vault.  I'm just level 11, I don't think my weapon is good enough (spiked longbow), but I need another 6 grand for a decent upgrade (BE).  Those assassin dwarves are lethal!  Should I be able to do it or slog on for a bit longer, can't decide.

Lvl 11 on nightmare is good enough to do the Haven battle fine. the main quests don't scale, and if a mob does it's not very well. CotJ - lvl 4-7 , Haven - lvl 8-11 or something.

I have learned 2 things today.

1: while I was napping my man decided to trap our lovely house guest, a mouse, in the cupboard and he just started laughing his head off saying it got out.

2: Said guy thinks my social disability is 100x more pronounced if I'm talking to a woman. Based on what he witnessed when I was trying to sort out my disability support payments today.

Excellent. I'm back off to the Exalted Plains and I'm only dragging Sera and Solas with me so she can get him riled up. Payback for the bear, Solas.

What sort of social disability, if I may ask? (brashly figuring since you brought it up)

Is it a noteworthy condition, or general shyness?

There's no manner in which I could appear like the gentleman my dear mother raised me to be, I am aware of that! Curiosity kills the knight.

I don't mind people asking anymore, it doesn't define me just gets in the way of face-to-face talking. It's an Autism spectrum disorder, Asperger Syndrome. It affects more then just social communication of course, that's just what I get hit hard with the worst.

Boy, it sure is nice having Varric back as a steady group member. Now I want to replay DA2.

Ah you *waves* that's just fancy talk for sexiness.

...that is indeed the most charming answer I can come up with.

Asperger syndrome (AS) is an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), one of a distinct group of complex neurodevelopment disorders characterized by social impairment, communication difficulties, and restrictive, repetitive, and stereotyped patterns of behavior. - that sentence sums it up pretty much perfectly.

Honestly, I have taught myself how to socialise via chat rooms and forum threads like this, so these outlets have become my only social outlet. A bit sad but I do what I can :)

The amount of injuries the Herald ends up with after the haven fight, and the avalanche, must be phenomenal.. Then he/she proceeds to walk through a blizzard like thing caused as an after-affect of the avalanche, and then managers to lead the ragtag group to Skyhold? I call shenanigans, or some sort of amazing healing ability.

I knew what it was. Hence my reluctancy to give you any advice, or even pity. It's just great to have you. Nobody cares I have centaur-like giraffe lower body in here either, that's the beauty of it!

Dear lord, Haven is so great. It feels a lot more base-y than the Keep ever did... it's half town, half camp and it has such a thick & cozy atmosphere. AND I get to wear whatever the fudge I want! Why the heck overdo the (em)power(ment) phantasy as much with the impeccable wondercastle of perfection later? WHY?

P.S.: It's also funny that we're almost in the same spot, Ash. Except I refuse to start Your Heart Shall Burn -regardless of how awesome it is individually- cause I don't want the Keep again.

P.P.S.: Has anyone ever thought about how the game would have worked out dramaturgically if they had reversed the order? You start out in the traditional Seeker/Inquisition luxury Keep that everybody knows about and dares not conquer for its legacy, and against all odds, the mighty vilain Corypheus manages to destroy it anyways. From there on in, you'd have to make do with the way less sophisticated but thrice as charming Haven town, whose folks accept you in exchange for protection...

Also, nice food for thought for anyone wondering whether it's Flemeth/Mythal or Solas being in charge, provided by Cole:

I just want an armour toggle for Skyhold without resorting to mods. I also want Skyhold to get seiged and half destroyed (even though it already looks half destroyed), but alas. What I want will likely never happen, and I shall continue to trip over bits of rubble and toppled candelabras while running around my castle.
