It's Victoria Day today and I'm spending it here and playing DAI. What has my life become?

 

ignorant Australian here, what's Victoria Day? is it anything like our Queen's Birthday?

I've now just realised I stayed up all night, you guys and gals are a bad influence. It's 7am

Okay to be honest, I slept most of the afternoon and into the night so I can't blame anyone in DQ

haha usually the Queen's Birthday is 8 june for my state in Aust. but next year for some unknown reason it's going to be 3rd Oct. very weird decision but oh well. I think it's funny how many birthdays the Queen has

I've never been to Canada. Saw it when I took a trip to Niagara Falls, but that's the closest I've been.

Can I still be in DQ if I can only drink metaphorically?  Docs are giving me a new pain management regiment.  Nothing has ever worked.  4 years of...no morphine still doesn't do anything.  So before they start carving funny shapes in my head, they are giving me a last ditch attempt to avoid the knife...i.e. no drinking.  

No drinking, is def not as fun,  I can't eat a cookie instead of drinking, so what do you think would be a DQ substitute?

I'm curious to see what you guys come up with, because it can't be 420 either...hmmm...what's a DA DQ patron equivalent.  Roly, you started this ball of wax;)

As the notoriously ironic non-drinker of the DQ, I appreciate the company.

 

So has anyone played Frogware's Sherlock Holmes games yet? I can definitely recommend the last two, Crimes & Punishments and The Testament of Sherlock Holmes. It's like watching a good show, yet still more videogamey than, say, Beyond:Two Souls. I think they nail Holmes' character better than any show since Jeremy Brett.

 

It's also very British.

Gee. What didn't happen..

I did the Haven fight, getting beat up and tossed around like a ragdoll by Cory does things to you  haha. Not to mention that blizzard after-avalanche. But it's ok, I have my ruin Castle now.
