Ha! I knew one day it would be useful *proudly accepts the drink*
So many Witcher fans... I'm starting to consider trying it but I've heard the first one is kinda boring and the combat system is horrible, opinions?
Maker preserve me I reallly need to learn to watch the time when playing Inquisition. Thank Him I am off tonight. *drinks*
Also Wild Hunt is out for less then ten hours and already people are saying they should be more like it.

While I get the complaints about reused dungeons and whatnot, they didn't really bother me much to be honest. DA2 had a -great- story, and once I adjusted to its whacked out combat (compared to DAO) I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I especially the part where it didn't crash just cuz I cast a certain spell, or it grinding slower and slower until it locked like DAO. ![]()
God, I f*cking love Dragon Age II. Literally EVERY encounter makes me laugh out loud.
I used to understand why some people trashed it, but you cannot (read CAN NOT) hate Hawke.
I tottally agree with that, I also love Isabela and Varric so much ![]()
And the combat is better IMO

If I told anyone in here I bought TW3 at full price and stopped playing 3-4 hours in to replay the most loathed BioWare release ever... good thing we have the DQ for safety.
Oh, dude... You lasted, well, 3-4 hours longer than I did.
Well the guys who hate Cassie for being "mannish" will probably love the game.
Spoiler
mouse control was a bit buggy. Shutting down and waiting a few days, see if they get out a quick hotfix patch.
*drinks, uh... checks rules... three shots of bourbon*

It wasn't bugs, and it isn't that I think the game weren't well made... it's the same that kept me from enjoying the first two.
I hate Geralt's guts, for some reason.

Any idea why?

Interesting...

SO not what I meant!
SO not what I meant!
Wait...what do you think I meant?
Meh you know probably the main draw for me for the Witcher is I want somebody...somebody! to release an RPG I can play. It has become one of my favorite genres thanks to BioWare...and all I want to play is BioWare games. lol. Which is really funny because I have a really hard time calling it an RPG.

Oh. Uh... you know, that I hadn't played the game as long as Dieb did. Yeah.
*Rolls over to a corner and quietly munches on some cheese...*
I never saw the appeal of the Witcher games, because I don't like Geralt (I think he looks old, ugly and grumpy. I mean seriously, how old is that guy? xD) and I've never heard anyone praise the story so it seems to be lacking in that part as well.
Character customization and good story is one of the reasons why I play RPGs.
All I want to play is BioWare games too. Seems like everybody went their separate ways with what to play next. I'm playing Mass Effect 2. Still on my first playthrough because it was interrupted with DAI's release back in November. So it's been a while. I hit "resume" and then felt like this...

And meet Leia Shepard. Yes, named after that other space heroine.

I think I have to start ME2 from the beginning.
Phew! Mostly finished for the day, yay lunchtime break!

I like the framing of the story, and Geralt's motivations for being a participant, as for the story itself? Hard to say since we are still missing a piece.

Morning.
Finally! my daughter's b'day present arrived. A couple of days late but whatever, it's here
Got her This
Cute.
*Roly collapses into a corner and curls up with "The Stolen Throne" for awhile*
(aka, I'll be lying in bed reading and not on my computer...)
*struggles with spoiling the plot*
Okay, anyone else spend the gold to get a nug mount? Wow, those things are ugly. They are only cute when they are small.
That Blizzard pup...so cute...almost makes me want to reactivate my WOW account...okay, just wish I could look at my pets.
Yes. The box was too mysterious to leave it be.
Thanks Dazzle, I will stop by
I promise to wipe my boots and pick the straw out of my hair first.
I will think of a special gift to bring.
Oh, that's cheered me up a bit because:

It's not horrible, you just can't click the opponent to death. I'd say, the combat system was unusual and fun.

+1
Played TW3 for 30min (had to go at that time), going to continue PT of the game, where white-haired dude with sword and magic, accompanied by young woman, fights monsters and tries to safe his kid from ancient evil.
Phew! Mostly finished for the day, yay lunchtime break!
Busy day, eh?

It's my last day at work before my trip. So it's a little hectic making sure everything gets finished.

There's not much character customization in terms of appearance, but there are a lot of skills, equipment and story choices to make the character unique.
About the plot, it's complicate.
