I'm still considering buying ME series. I just don't know which way to go about it lol. Buying the 3 game bundle on Origin or buy ME 3 seperately to try and get all DLC's ...

Bundle is the best way to go about it if ME1 and 2 have all their dlcs with them.

ME1 vanilla // ME2: The Arrival, Lair of the Shadow Broker, Zaeed & Kasumi character DLC // ME3: Leviathan

 

That's all you need to get the full story. Overlord (ME2) and Citadel (ME3) are also well worth their money yet add nice-to-have individual side plots. You could leave out the character DLC in ME2 as well, but I really love both of them. If you can't bring yourself to enjoy ME's version of Boba Fett / Canderous Ordo or a snarky japanese space master thief (see where I'm coming from?), you don't need them either.

But Citadel is absolutely necessary! D: It's pure gold! (and it adds a lot of romance content). Ok, it may not be the most relevant storywise, but I think it's one of the best pieces of DLC I've ever purchased.

 

My order for ME3 DLC would be Citadel > Leviathan > From Ashes

Oh crap, I forgot From Ashes! Yeah it is absolutely mandatory for ME3. I mentioned Citadel (and personally I loved it), but you have to be honest, it is completely unnecessary. If Ash likes the trilogy enough, she can always still get it, but the other ones are those I deem really essential to get the true experience. If anything, shipping ME2 without Arrival & Shadowbroker was an insult, given how important and central they become.

I actually think that From the Ashes is actually essential for the full enjoyment of ME3, more than any Citadel DLC. Also, am I correct in thinking that the two characters DLC for ME2 are free? They were when I (finally) got to play ME2 connected to the internet but by then I had almost completed all the achievements (which meant that I started another PT straightaway with no regrets  ).

In ME2 I only got Zaeed for free, not Kasumi (Origin trilogy version)

Well, Javik wasn't exactly what I expected but he gave interesting insight in some aspects (specially in Thessia), and I quite enjoyed his hobby of throwing things out the airlock
