Bollocks. You can only hold 8 save files in The Witcher 3. Then it's all overwrites. I flipping hate overwriting my saves.

I hate overwriting my saves. I like easy access to instant replay. I think this happened on my second or third Inquisitor... or was it the first?

I have two characters and three save files each. I kind of adapted that from TES' autosave style, it's like having three strikes until you irrefutably messed up.

I had to have multiple saves for my first Inquisitor because I was helping create a guide for the game. Made it easier to go back a redo sections of the game in a snap if I needed to.

And then you realise you have encountered a bug and you can't do sh*t to change it apart from restart all over again. Yeah, those were the days. Curse Ysolda and her walking backwards at a constant, unmoving angle...

Yeah, that sounds about right. Episode three. It just shot me right in the feels. I have tears streaming down my face right now. (I just finished the episode so it's not like I have been crying for two days straight or anything.)

I love the game so far, and of course the music is amazing (I can't stop listening to the soundtrack, specially the ending songs).

I also really liked the music in Life is Strange, but I've only done part one so far.

 

Also, I think it is called a musical score when the songs are not made for a game but used in it.

Reason because I like the Inquisitor more than the Warden/Hawke:

 

In terms of the political landscape of Thedas during the timeline of each game:

 

1) In DAO the Warden is a pawn of Arl Eamon against Loghain McTir, trying to raise his nephew (Alistair) to the vacant throne of Ferelden

 

2) In DA2 Hawke is a pawn first of the Mercenary/Smugglers, then of the Viscount, and at the end from Orsino/Meredith.

 

3) In DAI the Inquisitor has pawns under his direction and he/she is the person calling the shots about the political future of Thedas.

 

This is a nuance that a lot of the people who dismiss DAI don't seem to grasp.

What about manual backup? Copying the saves in a new folder, adding date or comment, etc.?

(Noticed that Origin's cloud storage offers 1 GB now, instead of 100 MB on launch).

Okay guys, I is excite.

 

Here's the thing: For a while now, I wanted to close my educational gamer gap when it comes to Bard's Tale - an RPG series I never gave the time of the day for some reason. Now with the 4th having been confirmed for some Kickstarter campaign, I looked into the series a little. I was disappointed that it turned out to be one of those pre-3D sprite first person dungeon crawlers with relentless difficulty, until I found out that Brian Fargo also made a slightly modern, PS2-era spinoff/reboot thingy.

 

It's also called Bard's Tale, but it's more of a fully narrated, dialogue-heavy action adventure (1st point in favour: Dialogue options are "Nice / Snarky") that takes a humorous swing at multiple fantasy franchise AND THE BARD IS VOICED BY MISTER ROBIN HOOD MEN IN TIGHTS HIMSELF, Cary Elwes !!

 

 

I've seen this cover a lot, but I never looked into it. I just bought it now, though. Happy Dieb likes humorous games.

 

This game is amazing! Especially in the matter of deriding stereotypes and cliche.

I love this game and seriously recommend for all game developers to keep in mind.
