DQers, I am in need of assistance.  I am really struggling to get a handle on Indis, my elf rogue in DAO.  She is proud to be putting the martial training her mother gave her to good use.  Yes, she holds some strong undercurrents of resentment towards humans in general, yet she is a... well, perhaps not fervent, but at least a practicing Andrastian.  So yes, some internal struggles there. 

 

What is vexing me right now is Broken Circle which I am about to begin.  Does she side with  the Templars, fearing magic run amok, and purge the entire tower, including Wynne and the First Enchanter?  Does she see something of her own life when she looks at the mages, people oppressed simple because they were born as they are, and instead choose to fight to save them?

 

I won't even go into my dilemma on trying to figure out who to romance in this one.  Gonna go watch "Turn"  on the DVR and will check back afterwards to see if y'all have figured out what I should do.

 

 

So.. what is Skyhold?

 

A Castle : a large building, typically of the medieval period, fortified against attack with thick walls, battlements, towers, and often a moat.

A Fortress : a military stronghold, especially a strongly fortified town.

A Stronghold : 1 ) a place where a particular cause or belief is strongly defended or upheld. , 2 ) a place that has been fortified so as to protect it against attack.

A Fort : a fortified building or strategic position. Or a trading station.

 

I would go with fortress, personally.  It conveys, imho, the strength of the Inquisition better than the other three.

I personally think it suits all 4 different things in one way or another. examples:

A Castle : come on, it is a castle, has everything including an abyss like thing for a moat.
A Fortress : It holds the bulk of the army (well they camp in the valley outside) plus could count as a mini-town with the market-place, stables, tavern etc inside the walls.
A Stronghold : Both 1 and 2 fit perfectly. It is the home of the cause, and fortified to protect from attack.
A Fort : It's in a defensibly strategic position, imagine an army slogging their way up the snowy mountains to attack it lol. all other reasons, not so strategic. It is a hub of trade as well, chat to Bonnie or whatever her name is in the market at Skyhold. She'll say that.

 

But if I had to choose just one, Stronghold. The Inquisition is at it's base, a cause.

Or if you wanna role play a straight female I would go for Alistair cause in my opinion Zevran is a slimy sleazy bastard..

Or you could be a ****** and **** all three, he'll use a mod and **** Morrigan too.

If I had the time and the patience I would play Origins again too but I'm too preoccupied with TW3 atm and have a tonne of other games.
