I absolutely LOVE the Katari. I don't like playing melee characters, but Katari helped me get into my Qunari warrior playthrough that I had ditched and didn't plan on finishing. KATARI TRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIINNNNNNNNN

Katari is pretty cool but I prefer Reaver. I still need to get to grips with Avvar, but so far, I like what I see. Basically Katari with a bit more punch.

I can't seem to get a handle on Reaver, I spend more time crawling on the floor with her. I don't have the Avvar yet, but I have the materials to craft him.
Okay, so I'm starting a new playthrough right now. Still keeping a save for my other playthrough, just in case I prefer how that one is, but this one is also going to be my hardest difficulty one, which is tough. 
I can't seem to get a handle on Reaver, I spend more time crawling on the floor with her. I don't have the Avvar yet, but I have the materials to craft him.
You can't really play defensively with Reaver. I don't roll with any tanking abilities besides the skills that buff your armour, like return damage when you get hit et cetera. For Routine of Threatening difficulty, I usually leave my team to fend for themselves, obviously attacking those that are attacking them but I don't care about drawing aggro. I wouldn't advise using her for a perilous run unless you have a Legionnare (?) or a Templar to soak up damage using Guard.

Most of my choices are going to be the same, apart from the one I mostly want to change, and one that I mentioned before that I regret.
