It's funny, not even the disc-burned utopia that is TW3 could ease his pain and affectedness. Cass and Josie sure are remarkable ladies.

I just finished my ultimate sacrifice DAO playthough, I wonder if I've done something wrong because Alistair (romanced and stayed warden) didn't appear in the funeral at all.

I think he has to be in the party attacking the AD to appear in any post-archdemon fight scenes. I know it's true for the Warden surviving anyway.

I know, he did that on my very first DAO playthrough on me, i hadn't read up any info prior to so i was like "wait, what? no!" lol.

Then again, I always felt it's weird if he doesn't.

 

Or rather, if you tell him "Okay, so the two of us are the most major characters and protagonists of this game for being the only ones capable of slaying the final boss, and this is the moment this all comes to peak. So I need you stay down here and hold back random mobs off-screen cause that's not anti-climatic"

 

My City Elf Warden was romancing Alistair, which mostly served to make her stop hating each and every human by default. She broke things off with him calmy when he became king, in a "you made me a better person, but we're not meant for one another"-fashion & asked him to perform the ritual with Morrigan, cause she'd rather left with Sten to Par Vollen to fully join the Qunari.

 

And people wonder why I don't need to be explained what my Warden is doing.

Yeah, it's a bit weird and inmersion breaking when he accepts to stay behind just because you say so

My first play through my Warden refused to let Alistair do it, did it herself. Played an elf that romanced him and made him king so he broke up with her after the landsmeet. She couldn't let him die.

hmm I don't remember any dialogue option after the AD fight that allows you to kill steal him if romanced him. I heard there was a way to glitch it, but not sure how to. Other then leaving him at the gates anyway lol.

I think I pulled it off because we broke up after the landsmeet. I didn't glitch it.

Interesting. My attempt after he broke it off after the landsmeet still had him take the kill. As did me attempting to properly break it off after it aswell. Nothing worked, must have been me glitching out.

Well, I guess the recommended level really does mean something. There is a quest called High Stakes, which lets you play cards against the best players around in a tournament. I had just enough decent cards to get in, thinking yeah, I'll win, it's not that hard. F*cking owned me. Reloading a previous save and getting much better cards.
