So let me get this straight. The new patches are nothing more than so called fixes for issues that have more to do with turning people away from the game than actually fixing problems??? Who is running things at Bioware? Are you guys asleep at the wheel over there? A hundred things that need a real fix, everything from game stability, to multiplayer fixes, to needed add-ons, to new features and characters. Instead what we get is some pathetic fix for shields that I haven't seen a problem with and I've seen some people complaining that they have taken away the duping and gold building glitches that a lot of people like because there is never enough crafting materials. Way to go Bioware, you fix things that aren't an issue and leave a lot of people shaking their heads. Are we ever going to get anything we need or want? I really am disappointed and now that I have my 1000 points on both xbox versions and have beaten the pc version, I really got no interest in doing anything else for the game at this point. Like a lot of the gamers have said, I'm not going to be taken in again by performance promises before the game comes out.
The new patches are a joke. Are they serious?

Others got the problem with sheild from the patch which is why it had a hotfix. However the patches have just made the game worse, as each time they manage to break something. Latest patch increases load times..
The only useful parts from them is party banter now works (for me ) every 10 mins and lootable stuff showing up on the minimap radar

When is there going to be a patch optimized for us PC gamers, using keyboard and mouse???
We were told that DAI was written and optimized for PC and this was not the case at all......when????
Looks like Bioware tells us what we want to hear, says one thing and then does another......and only fixed issues in the game that keep us going.
If you had employees that said our game is optimized for say PS4 and XBox One, then turns out at launch its not at all and mainly for PC keyboard and mouse, they had better apoligize and release a patch or two to optimize their game fast or get fired for purposely lying to paying customers......
Patch 1......nothing
Patch 2......nothing
Patch 3......nothing
mini Patch 4......nothing......
Patch 5????...... nothing.....???
If it was up to me, I would let go whoefver said DAI was optimized for PC, fired.
If it was up to me, I would let go whoever changed the DA series to a console game instead of still PC isometric and also for console users., Need both versions.

Vargh yes it shows up now as little dots when you use the scan feature in the game to locate resources. That was with patch 2.
Private Hudson, we agree with you on the useful stuff that is being taken out but adding more broken stuff into the game which is not useful. My girl and I use the gold glitch and the item duplication glitch because there aren't enough resources in the game and then there is the fact that it takes way too long to mine for resources in the game while exploring and it takes a ton of time to have only 3 advisors go resource hunting via the map.
Seriously hunting for resources is a pain in the rear and we don't like having to do it. At the very least using the item duplication glitch cuts that down to nothing except for herbs because herbs can't be duplicated.

Sort of. You have to search for it and then you get the yellow dot.
Bioware should just stop releasing patches and focus on DLC.

I mean not all bugs are equal. I assume they're rolling out patches for the easier to fix bugs while they're working on the larger ones. I don't think it's as simple as,"they chose to fix this over this."

I know. I am glad to see that I'm not alone in these observations. This game had the potential to be outstanding. But without support for real issues and problems its just falling away. I've encountered so many problems and glitches. The XBOX One version looks and plays better than the 360, but that's not saying that much. The 360 version needs major fixes, everything from character colors to multiplayer stability. I really feel like this game should not have been put on the 360. It runs so slow and looks terrible compared to the xbox one. In any case these patches so far have done more harm than any good they have done. As I have seen others mention we need fixes that address the real issues and not ones that patch things people like or enjoy. We desperately need console fixes for issues such as stability, graphics, and multiplayer progression freezes and blackouts. We should have a storage chest, not just in the castle, but at every campsite so that we can store and save items that will show up later in our castle as we save them at the campsites. The idea being our scouts bring them in. And since Bioware took away duping we need better loot and chest drops to keep our materials full and have access to weapons we can no longer afford to craft. We need less snatch and grab and more action, more combat. We need better combat lock-on and targeting. The PC needs better interaction with periphials that we were promised. A blind man can see a thousand items that need attention way before shields and duping.

I know this will happen.....
DA2 and now DAI will be forgotten in a year or two
Users will still remember and play DAO from 5+ years ago.
DA4 will be released and will be the same as DA2 and DAI......and forgotten in a year or two.
Users will still remember and play DAO 7+ years later.
Bioware is not getting it.

I wouldn't say the patches haven't fixed anything.
The overall performance is better now than the release. I am even sometimes able to watch some of the cutscenes. Not in full but I get some of the dialogue options working. Enough to be able to make choices. I can also access the War Table a bit longer than to begin with. A bit stressing but it works.
The search radar has been fixed. That is etremely handy to say at least.
You can turn off the tactical zoom on the mouse wheel.
You can toggle Walk. Now you don't have to run around like a scared chicken in the Winter Palace.
But I still think the duplicate item glitch in singleplayer shold have remained.

Agreed. The patches have been crap so far. They still haven't fixed the major issues that I've had to put up with since Day 1. And I've been patient for quite a while. It is now almost February. This kind of nonsense is unacceptable.

I'm only following the forum nowadays. Not playing DA:I anymore. Reading (again) that a patch is needed to fix a patch is rather saddening. But after two weeks of not playing DAI, the annoyance is being converted into laughs.
Maybe, just maybe, if there's a decent patch in the near future i will return to DAI.

I am sorry that the patch is not fixing your problems (or even creating new problems), but the patch did fix my problem regarding shields.
Maybe the issues they fixed are simply easier ones to debug. Hopefully they work on other problems too.

The patch needs to fix the issue for the 360 and PS3 players with the inability to install the 2nd disc. This is a Day 1 issue that should have been fixed in the very first patch release. Players have been complaining about this one for months and yet it still hasn't been addressed. If they fixed this issue right there it would fix a lot of other issues hands down for the 360/PS3 players. Unlike the Xbox One, PC and PS4 players who could get a direct download of the game from servers, we had to buy physical copies and without the install option that all games come with these days for the 360/PS3.
This is unacceptable. The dupe glitch is something that people enjoy and they are getting rid of that instead of fixing the real issues. This is horrendous and very dumb.

a person theorized that it was probably one dev that was really adament about it because they felt it was cheating despite people not having a problem with it.
I don't think it's a good design to have so few resources in a game that if you cannot find appropriate schematics due to RNG and tier 3 ones at that.. You have to live with that choice.
I think myself that the fix was rather callous and rude. A slap of the hand toward any customer that enjoyed the mechanic, 'No, bad bad player.. Use the crap materials.."

You can still use the war table to get funds quickly Just do the get coin mission and move your clock forward until the end time, move it back and repeat. Same with any gathering missions. It's actually quite easy to get a lot of materials that way.

I was hearing banter. And then after the patch that was supposed to increase the banter timer, nothing, nada. It made earning ten power points in Hissing Waste so I could finish the game extra dull.

This only works on the PS3. Xbox 360 and Xbox One users can't do that. The Xbox system automatically connects to the net and it automatically sets the time for whatever time zone you are in. There is no way to use this for the Xbox system and essentially it takes a lot of time to go to the dashboard, futz around with the time go back in collect what you need and then reset the system time back to original.

The problem with these patches is...
BW followed the same logic making the patches as they did with the game.

Well considering that "feedback" that BW gets from fans usually is just "I'm straight male gamer romances for us $ucks" or "Who do you think is better Witcher or DA:I","Skyrim vs DA:I","Why DAI can't be more like Witcher?","Use REDengine instead of Frostbite look after Witcher","Females are fugly","Witcher has more tasteful romances","So Witcher is game we should look most forward to from now on?"...almost forgot "Be more like DAO"...
And many threads as these are also to blame why persons with real feedback and problems don't get a chance to say a word. Not defending anyone in here I just think that something should be done about this whole forum thing, there should be one thread about just one topic not "repeat threads" of one topic all across this forum.

Well there is still various bug threads. Devs claim that they have been reading old gen thread I put up but still no fixes on the problems stated in OP. I really wonder why they are fixing things they are fixing instead of things people are reporting to have problem with.
Also Answers HQ is full of technical issues feedback and devs have stated that they read it more than forums.

They would have fixed more issues in the patches, but they simply ran out of time.
