I'm doing a Nightmare difficulty run as a Knight-Enchanter and after a few re-specs I think I've got the build I want to use, however every time I re-spec now the game freezes. I re-speced:

- After Wrath of Heaven - I didn't like Flashfire
- After completing KE spec quest at level 14 cause wisp essences never dropped
- Before Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts - I wanted to give Static Cage a try and I love it

This issue happened to me and many others early in the game's release but it hasn't happened lately to me so I assumed a patch fixed it. Be sure your game is up to date with the latest patch. And if the issue persists you can always do the respec and hit F5 imediately after to quick save and reload. Then your respec should be saved.
One thing that worked for me was to use the amulet, save, reload, then transfer to a new area before leveling up.

I should have mentioned I'm on console; patch 3 isn't out yet for us yet. I'll guess I'll have to wait.

check your number of saves
depending on platform you have a max number of saves, xbox 360 is 26, think ps3 is 30. My firnd and I noticed when you get at or above the max number of saves you crash more and think it is related to autosaves. Make sure you are 5 or so saves under max and see if that helps.
I also found if I pick too many skills at once, it will freeze on me. So now I pick 3, press the button to confirm those, and pick 3 more, etc. Hasn't frozen on me since I started doing this.
