Make your Chevalier forget that he must have a tiny wooden shield equiped (or whatever preffered shield) and is forbidden to use two hands when gripping longsword or any non greatsword, sword based weapon.
Make sure they get all their one handed (Sword and Sheild bullshit, no grip change or difference in animations between weapon types. Bah!) abilities and passives to gain the Willpower and Constitution for critical and health. Then I always make sure I get that Combat Roll (perfect cuz you cant spam it which is how othe games should work. Althought a 1 second cooldown is perhaps as high as i'd go for action heavy games) and chevalier step (although I have to constantly come in and out of tac cam to fix the view and holding down the attack button will have me swinging at air no matter if im using lock on or free target") as I block and roll or roll and lunge slash or lunge bash. I use the chain with the kick and all the strength +3 passives in Battlemaster (save war horn or horn of valor for my Vangaurd but choosing one only ad getting the strength passives as well.) I also make sure to have war cry as well. Then you can take one ODDS that seem against u but with well crafted, smart crafted weapons and attack powe, damage bonuses, and a good set of armor (Not all has to be MAstercrafted but it helps if you're low on Tier 3 materials and need the stat boosts).
The camera problems I didn't notice in DA2 as I switched from target to target trying to attack every enemy as id ump into the fray even on hard nightmare. If tac cam could be a little bit more like photo mode and also allow me to position my characters on certain ledges even after ive brought them their manually. What I mean is that I brought Sera to a perfect vantage point for a tough (pride demon rage demon, despair demon, and a crowd of wraiths all with barriers and ****. Crafting Barrier damage bonus stats is a must.) then hit the tac cam as I try to always position my squad before attacking (this would be a lot funner if the game relied on a basic Eye sight, vision cone, sight and sound stealth mechanic rather than cheaply disappearing into a Tom Clancy cloaking device from 2021 Future of Combat Revengeance. That way I chose when to engage, I could also use the Tac Camera's help with this as well.
IDK if some characters staty in their held position ( I now ranged and mages will if you have them follow self but having all hold position except one in order to position the one character - usuaualy a rogue or mabe a Chevalier to either challenge the entire group of enemies or lay in wait while the three remaining attack (now using Champions LIne in the Sand although it works moderately, at choke points and always using the tac cam in and an out in an out to get the attak off to the right start where my mage and my rogue are paid no mind while my warriors defend each other (good tacticif in the heat of battle) back to back so I can contro the fight without it turning into a clusterbomb of special effects and the finicky camera.
I"D REALLY LIKE TO PLAY ON Friedly fire but with the majority of battles taking place in an area the size of a wrestling mat, all 4 squad members, the enemies, and explosions, this combat system is not fit for friendly fire play. (If you have successfully made it thru a game on hard with friendly fir On i'd sincerely appreciate some tips.)
DA2's combat system would of been perfect with more maneuvers and some dodging moves for all classes unlocked from the start. Then they should of taken that and Translated it into DAI and obviously the DA origins tactics. But anyways.... Far Cry 4, Shadows of Mordor, GTA in FPS mode, Metro Redux, Assassinc's Creed: Unity, Lords of the Fallen, Killzone Mutiplayer, And Destiny Multiplayer (maybe) plus the Sleeping DOGS redux on PS4 are all still waiting for me to ether open or start getting into but THEDAS I will not abandon you yet
