...is going to be finished when? It would be nice to have a timeline on that, so I know when I can play the game again.
So, the Scout Harding romance...

Harding was never classified as a romance-able character, so there technically is nothing to finish.
If you're not just a troll, I can give you some vague hope. Devs have stated there will be no new character romance content in any DLC, citing the importance of having characters integrated in the main story. Harding would not be a new character, so DLC romance content is not outside the realm of possibility.

Patch notes said they took a shot at it as a general fix for that dusty noon shot of rum, but sometimes their patch notes end up looking more like a wish list. To be fair, some of the dialog did seem to change, maybe a line or two. Bioware also said MP was improved, still only works on private and alone can't even get to the map on a quick match b4 it fails -is that improved? -it did work at some point and then it broke. They really need to be more precise with QA leading; say 20 % of Harding's dialog, and new cutscenes voice acting are in progress for next update - might be more accurate.

Never classified as a romance-able character? Not trying to attack your statement, but Harding is clearly a potential romance, at the very least. There's buildup throughout the game if you chose to flirt with Harding whenever you can, and it ultimately leads to a dead end. It's unfinished content plain and simple. It's irritating, as I find Harding more interesting than Cassandra (though I did like how Cassandra's romance turned out) or Josephine. And besides, dwarves need lovin' too ![]()

Let me clarify. Scout Harding has never been promoted or classified by the game's makers as one of the 8 romance-able characters within the game.
During the game's promotion, Inquisition Romance Tiles for The Keep were released and Harding was not among them.
The Prima Game Guide does not list Harding as a romance-able character.
During discussions on these forums and other social media, the game's developers have refrained from classifying Harding as a romance-able character.
You can flirt with her, but as of yet, there is no content beyond that which would upgrade Harding to the 9th romance-able character.
I would love this to change. She's adorable and I would love to see a dwarf npc romance. I'm crossing my fingers for DLC. ![]()

She's never been considered a romance. Prior to the game's release, they were clear that there will be the ability to flirt with one prominent NPC. At the time, people thought that it would be Celene. Turns out it was Harding. She's not one of the eight romances. It was never intended that she would be a full romance; just a character with whom your Inquisitor could flirt, if you choose.
Personally, I think that she was put in as a test to see how well a dwarf romance would be received. Since the feedback is overwhelmingly positive around her, I suspect that we will be seeing a dwarf romance in DA 4. It might even been Harding, since her role in the Inquisition makes it easy to explain why she'd be in another part of the world, helping another new PC.

If they decide to continue the path of the Inquisitor (for better or worse), Scout Harding may take a character 'upgrade' (so to speak), similar to how Tali and Garrus became romanceable in Mass Effect 2.
Otherwise, unless they're feeling generous and shell out a DLC, I'm not sure I see it happening this game :/

The problem with the Harding romance is you can't flirt with anyone else ever in the game if you want to romance her. It's either a bug or on purpose but you can't flirt with anyone else or the flirt options to romance her though it goes no-where disappear entirely.

Not a bug; common sense. She can sneak her way past opponents of much higher capability than the Inquisitor, and kills in a single shot; the Inquisitor has a back story as a survivor.

Elhanan, what was said was that if you flirt with anyone else in the game you CAN'T flirt with Harding. That is either a bug or on purpose. Not sure which. As for the romance going nowhere that's because the romance with Harding was either unfinished or the Dev's threw it in as a tease.
So it's not common sense for the game to allow people to flirt with anyone else in the game but Harding's romance flirt options disappear the moment a player flirts with say Cassandra or Cullen or anyone else.

Or perhaps it reflects her high standards for relationships. Maybe she knows of Oghren, and is looking for someone that is less problematic.

That didn't happen to me... I did the Cassandra romance while simultaneously flirting with Harding at every opportunity, and got the "we'll follow up later" thing at the end. Maybe there is a bug that prevents this in some games... or maybe my game was bugged and that's why it was allowed?

I'm sure they'll actually look at how many people picked the "flirt" option, which is a shame.

You can't finish it because she will be a companion in DA4. When you will try to flirt with her she'll just say: "Sorry, I'm waiting for the Inquisitor to propose me."

Funny little note. The person who voiced Harding was the VA for Liara from ME. Would have loved to been able to romance Harding. In fact just from what my girl and I have seen of others doing the flirt option on youtube, she seems a better romance option than Sera or Josephine.

It is not unfinished because it was never meant to be a romance. Bioware said we would have 8 romance options, and all of them are accounted for.
That didn't happen to me... I did the Cassandra romance while simultaneously flirting with Harding at every opportunity, and got the "we'll follow up later" thing at the end. Maybe there is a bug that prevents this in some games... or maybe my game was bugged and that's why it was allowed?
Maybe. I have yet to have a single flirt option come up in any of my games.

Neither happened to me either.
I hope the dev dont waste their time in this and give us our tactics back and meaningful rewards for that awful side content, some use for the keeps and motivation to finish all the stupid areas in the game.

Fenrihr, agreed the Dev's shouldn't waste time on this. This can be put on hold until the game is actually fixed. That is my girl's and mine's stance anyhow. The Scout Harding Romance is more of a nice to have than anything else.

No this was confirmed a long time ago that you can never have full romance with Harding. She's flirt only.
