Is it possible he's the "lyrium merchant" in Cole's personal quest scene? That's the only time I recall a male character doing that sort of thing in any of my playthroughs. Still, it's entirely possible I haven't encountered the actual "lyrium merchant" he plays. Slight tangent--sorry for that--but Mark Meer is listed under 'Additional Voices,' correct? So are these just educated guesses people are making, or have they actually released a more comprehensive list of actors and their roles?
Who does Mark Meer play in DAI?

You say that of the person who voiced the Vorcha?
And several volus, and Blasto, and about a million other miscellaneous voices.

@SabreTastic yeah I am under the impression that these are just educated guesses. Orian Tabris mentioned Mark Meer's wikipedia page that lists a couple of roles but I am not sure what the source for that information was so I am assuming that it was educated guesses too.

I recall that lyrium merchant being a woman.
Maybe he's one of the shady lyrium merchants in Halamshiral? I think dwarf inquisitors get to talk to those two, so it would be a non-trivial role.
Oh right, probably not Mark Meer then. Or maybe he does female dwarf voices too? ![]()

i talked to cabot once and never spoke to him again cos i didn't like him >___> i'm gonna have to go back to talk to him again on my current playthrough.
You really should. Each time you drop back in Skyhold. He's got some great comments to make if you ask him for news. Many clips.

This isn't going to be a popular opinion but I honestly grow tired of Meer and Hale showing up in Bioware games, it's like the Tim Burton-Johnny Depp/Helena Bonham-Carter thing. It stops being getting cast because they're right for the part and starts to become more like a 'we employ our friends' situation. Same deal with the Firefly/Torchwood casts, I know Bioware are big fans but everytime they release a new title it's a guessing game of 'which actor from Firefly/Torchwood is going to be in this one?'
The first Mass Effect employed several actors from Star Trek TNG, which was a nice touch. Reminded me of Disney's Gargoyles. ![]()

You really deserve more than one like for mentioning Gargoyles (as well as TNG really), but alas I can only provide one.
I honestly hadn't twigged that Mark Meer voiced Cabot. I remember people saying both he and Jennifer Hale had parts but when I talked with Cabot I didn't realise.

I don't love his Shepard, but I love Meer's NPC's.
Same here. I used to think I dislike him as a voice actor because I don't like Shepard before I discovered that he has an amazing range. That man must be one of the most talented voice actors there is.

I recall more than one dwarf sounding very Meer-like.
Most people tend to think of him only doing Shepard, but he has a good range. Every darkspawn in Awakening was voiced by him, for instance.

And that one Volus in ME2... "Oh...good..."
One of my favorite lines in the game. ![]()

I make it a point to talk to Cabot almost every time I go into the tavern; I love his "what's the mood" responses...
"Obsequious..."

i didn't use to, but after playing DA2, i started to really get interested in VAs in both games and anime. i've gotten better at recognising some of my favourite VAs, but sometimes i still miss them, even when it should've been obvious.

lyrium merchant? There was one dwarf talking with josephine at some point in haven. He was apparently arranging lyrium for inquisition. Maybe it was that one.
I was thinking the one talking to the Templar who had locked the human mage version of Cole up in the spire and left him to starve to death.
