Thank you, someone else who dislikes Solas. Everyone else is like, "he's so awesome!"
I think he's an arrogant tool with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
I'm not like "Kill Solas!!1!" about it, but yeah, we just do not get along. And since I'm not really interested in elves or spirits, which are his biggest selling points, I just can't really find a reason to talk to him most of the time.

How solais is a tool if he have own plans and goal and isn't controlled by anyone or at least we don't know he is.

I also think he is an arrogant tool, but he is a fascinating one who was quite easily the star of the game. Try as I might to minimize him and his crazy views, he is still someone who absolutely rocked his time on the screen and stuck with me more than any other character not named "Vivenne."
How solais is a tool if he have own plans and goal and isn't controlled by anyone or at least we don't know he is.
He's a tool because he doesn't ride our balls and isn't a character who revolves around us, lol.
If someone disliked what he says with low disposition I could understand. Though that's like... "Duh".
But "No redeeming qualities whatsoever...." ???
Yea, not taking that seriously.
It depends if you mean 'did the inquisitor like them in game' or 'do you think they are good characters'. For instance Vivenne would fail at the former - my inquisitor disliked her - but I think she is a great character (and that the game would be poorer were she not present).
I actually didn't dislike anyone. Cole I found a bit of a boring (in the books too) though his quest was cool; Cullen I just never found terribly interesting (though I have no problem with him).
Everyone else I liked. Solas was fascinating, one of those characters I know I will remember. Cassandra was great too. And I always have had a soft spot for Leliana.

Vivienne (I feel like I'm the only one...)
Not at all, I'm actually surprised at how many people like her; personaly, 3 PTs in and I still haven't found anything I can say I like about her; I didn't get Sera the 1st time around, we started clicking in the 2nd; but by the 3rd PT I "got" her and she became my main sidekick.
As for the rest, I find several things to like/ dislike about them:
- Varric is a little too dry on DAI (he does make a better character with Hawke around)
- Solas has great heartwarming moments, but can be a ****** sometimes (I personally hate the way he calls Varric "child of the Stone")
- Bull is great, and I absolutly love Krem and the chargers; though he did not turn out what I expected him to be, but that's not a bad thing...
- Blackwall has some of the funniest party banter actually, but his personality comes off as a bit flat
- Dorian is great, I agree his story is a bit generic, but his personality more than makes up for it; he's definitely the kind of person I'd hang out with in real life.
- Cole has got to be one of the most original characters of the trilogy; I absolutely love Cole and the concept behind his existance.
- I already liked Cass in DA2, she only got better in DAI
- I've always liked Leliana, and I softened her up on DAI; she was my sidekick in DAO (we both specialzed in DW and Arch, and we where just extremely deadly) and I can never erase that image of her giving the high dragon the final finishing blow... god she was so sweet in DAO... good times.
- Cullen has always been a hit or miss for me, I wanted to slap him around in DAO; In DA2 he got some cred points for standing up to Meredith at the end, but I still somehow found his anti-mage stance a bit too overzealous; I like what he has become though, and I like how his character grew (this growth is actually very noticable); that's the reason I created a human female mage to romance him on my 2nd PT, cause he's someone that I actually grew to like... BTW the Cullen romance was very touching (he deserved a circle mage girl after all right?)...
- And what's not to like about Josephine? I mean seriously, just looking at her speak while waving that pen of hers is reason enough to adore her

Varric - Didn't expect him to be anywhere else, really. Even if he wasn't quite the friend to the Inquisitor as he was to Hawke, I still really felt like he was a grounding presence in our merry band of misfits.
Leliana - Had to be here. My favourite character in the series, I thought her crisis of faith was well-done, her story becoming increasingly heartfelt and tragic, her references to my romanced Warden and the letter she received from her continue to give feely-feels, and her softened path was one of the more gratifying things this game. Overall, I was pleased with Leliana this game, and consider her one of the most well-rounded characters in the series. Don't like her Divine ending very much, and prefer not to do it, but I don't care much about that. I can ignore it. Leliana. :3
Dorian - Just an all-around endearing character, and befriending him lead to some pretty touching dialogue.
Solas - Downright fascinating character, romance arc that's beautifully gut-punching, and without a doubt one of the most interesting companions we've ever had after that final reveal.
Cole - His way of speaking, how incredibly unique he is, the fact that he's probably the most sincere companion we've had in the series thus far...great character, love him to bits. His relationship with Solas and Varric was pretty endearing.
Like -
Cassandra - Excellent character, love her strong take-charge personality, and her sincere desire to strive for better, how devoted she is to her faith, while not being blinded by it. She's my preferred choice for Divine, and striking up a friendship with her was really rewarding. Lived up to all my expectations.
Blackwall - I dig redemption stories. I feel like there should have been a bit more to his character arc, especially after the reveal, but overall I thought he was well done. He really shines once you start getting banter between him, Cole, Sera etc.
Vivienne - The grandmaster of sass. Fabulous.
Bull - Just a fun character tbh. His banters are always entertaining.
Cullen - Someone who definitely grew on me. Had my doubts about him before, but this game he had some great character development, and certainly proved himself to be a competent commander.
Morrigan - Ah, Morrigan. Me and her have had the most rocky relationship in the series by far. While I adored her friendship arc with my Warden to bits (really wish there were more references to that. They called each other sisters.
) her attitude could often grate on me in DA:O. This game, however...man, who would have thought Kieran would change her that much. Loved her interactions with Flemeth, particularly.
Mostly indifferent towards -
Josephine - She's cute, endearing, all of that, but...she's just boring, honestly.
Sera - Fun at times, but got on my nerves too often for me to put her any higher. Still, she's alright.
Hated -
Nobody. Seriously.

Liked everyone, really. Loved Cassandra, Dorian, and mother Morrigan. Only one I truly disliked was the hammy cartoon villain version of Leliana. Even Viv gets a pass because she was well written and meant to be unlikeable. But hardened Leliana near the end of the game... way over the top.
