Calpernia. I enjoyed them both well enough, but found Calpernia more intriguing.

Seriously, I didn't even remember who the hell Samson is. He was a nobody in DA2 comparing to other shitstorm circling around Kirkwall.

Calpernia! I thought she was more interesting, despite being a new character, and the former-slave angle was good. I never quite understood what Samson's motivation was supposed to be? 'The Chantry used the templars, so why not let Coryfish use them too'? He was a slimeball that I suppose you're supposed to hate, but he seemed more pitiful.
Samson's relation to Cullen was better (since nothing links Leliana and Calpernia), but the temple of Dumat was great, so atmospheric on the Calpernia side. Plus, I enjoyed Champions of the Just more. It had the bad-future-mind-screw, like on the mage side, but it impacted on the current timeline and characters in it (like Ser Barris, who I also like more than Fiona).
