What a load of crap. That pick at the end... Are you serious... From the half-yard line, you have Marshawn Lynch on your team... I don't even...

I've played both rugby and football--trust me, football is WAY more physical.  And yes Cato and q5thj, what were the Seahawks thinking?  And... it should have been the Cowboys because it WAS A CATCH.  Congrats to the Patriots though--you got to admire their uncanny ability to find a way to win.

Yeah Seahawks straight up gave the game away with that moronic play call.

The even sadder thing is the Brady hype machine will take it up a notch since he has tied Bradshaw and Montana.

Yes, but is Joe Flacco an elite quarterback?

For the second time! They gave away a 10 point 4th quarter lead, and then they had managed (somehow, some way) to steal the game back after giving it away the first time- only to gift it away again on what has to be the single most moronic playcall in SB (and perhaps football) history.

They can ratchet the rhetoric up all they like, Brady's still not in the same class as (4-0) Joe- even if  Super Bowl performances were the sole deciding factor (its obviously not).

I am so happy right now.  Genuinely happy.  Hats off to the Seahawks, hell of a damn game.  For the record, I don't think the play call at the end was all that bad, Butler just made a play.  I would have run Lynch or Wilson on the option, but it wasn't a bad call.

Its funny how Super Bowls are the only measuring stick for QBs. Dan Marino was one of the Greatest QBs ever, everyone says Montana because of the rings but no one talks about Bradshaw the same way, I have been watching football since about 94ish. I can not remember a better QB than Brady because you always know that when it comes down to crunch time he would come through. It is the hardest thing that I have ever had to admit in my life because I am a Colts fan and have seen every game since 1996. Peyton Manning complete screw it up with he throw a pick six to lose to the Saints. That hurt much much more than almost anything in my life. Sad as it is

I commend you for saying this.  You are a real sports fan.  And you are right, you can't measure it all on Super Bowls, but after tonight, my list goes Brady, Montana, Elway, Marino, Manning.  It's really hard for me to even put Peyton on the list due to his 9 out of 13 one-and-dones in the playoffs, but he is one of the smartest QBs ever, and he did win one.  Marino won zero, but he was easily the best QB to never win one.  Before tonight I still had Montana on top, and I'm a Pats fan.  I know a lot of people won't agree, but I can honestly say that now and not feel like I am being biased.  It's just fact, not opinion.

That interception though.

They have a real life Krogan Battlemaster in the backfield.

Grunt's charge through Rachni was animated using Marshawn Lynch as a reference.

Instead they throw it.

What a stupid plan.

I bet a Quarian was in charge.

I hope this was helpful to Mass Effect fans that don't quite follow American Football.

Biscuits and gravy.

In other commercial news, I think Nationwide may become the next Grumpy Cat meme. One Twitter feed said it best...

McDonald's: "Call your mom and tell her you love her!"
Nationwide: "Your mom died."

In my mind even after a million beers I'd never make a call that stupid.

If you want to pass there, it should be play-action out of a running set (and roll Wilson out with a TE working across the endzone). Too many things can go wrong making quick throws at the goal line. You sell Lynch going through the A-gap, Wilson might be able to moonwalk the thing in by himself. They did have the Pats DB's playing a bit deeper than one might expect, but that's a dicey pre-snap read at the goal line.

Of course not, you were cheering for the Pats, right? But it certainly was one of, if not the, single stupidest, Herp D Derp moment, playcalls in Super Bowl history- you have perhaps the most physical, punishing short-yardage RB in the league (who's having a great game I might add), a great run-blocking OL, and you're on the half-yard line needing a TD to win the Super Bowl. NOT giving it to that RB for the gimme half-yard is unforgivable stupidity, and a loss-sealing INT is exactly what they deserved for trying to outsmart everyone (including themselves).

You misspelled hockey season.

Although to be fair, there are alot of alternate spellings for 'hockey season'- 'hell', 'crap', 'garbage', etc.

Oh don't get me wrong, its not that I'm from somewhere that isn't crazy about hockey- I live in Minnesota, and my town is crazy about hockey. I just can't tolerate it at all. And living in Canada for 4 years was even more miserable since I like soccer (soccer, not football) even less.  :P
