- Winters Stillness is something you talk about being good, but in fact you wouldn't even take it if it wasn't required.  Nearly every single one of your spells forces a step and breaks WS, you don't even have it up a single time in your video.

Most of the clips in the video show the Elementalist doing CC on the door chokepoint in zone 5. Zone 5 stands a bit on its own though, as I find that it's necessary to move around more than you would in other situations. I agree they're not the best clips to show how you can take advantage of Winter Stillness, but I don't think they were picked for that reason. I can say I've seen this build played a fair number of times and it does stand still quite a lot in between repositioning to get to the next groups of enemies in zones 1-4, thus activating WS fairly often.

- Barrier is OP as ****, even on the elementalist.  It can turn paste eaters into legendary badasses (I'm looking at you assasins).  For anyone who doesn't have any friends like me, you just can't count on there always being a Keeper :(

Yes, Barrier is definitely OP as ****. As much as I love playing Keeper though, I have to admit it's also a crutch and if you get too used to being barriered all the time it promotes some very, very bad habits.

This build has Death Siphon AND Guardian Spirit. That means emergency barrier if enemies get too close or if you've taken 10 arrows to the face, and massive HoK from your area spells. I think that is more than enough protection you've got going for yourself there, even more with a HoK ring if you're lucky enough to have it.

Damn you, guys with spirit mark comments! Thanks to you, I took it the first time I unlocked Necromancer thinking it´s something super cool since everyone here praised it.

I was left in tears. Tears I tell you!

Oh gosh where to begin :D

- Fire Mine: 3200% damage, 24 second cooldown, single target, 3 second delay on activation, knockup

Immolate: 2400% damage, 12 second cooldown, AoE, Combo Detonator

Big numbers are cooler but fire mine just has too many limitations, it's longer cooldown

We agree on many things, but you're wrong about Fire Mine.

You'll never achieve full dot damage in Perilous groups (except maybe on demon commander), and chaotic focus actually gives up to 200% bonus damage to fire mine vice immolate gaining less. FM does 4-5k AoE. Fire Mine is not single target. Fire Mine is lethal damage to mooks on Perilous. Immolate does 800 damage. Both have dots afterward, but only if the enemy is not fire resistent (many are). Get this into your head, the burst damage is 8 to 9 times more than Immolate, and Lethal to Immolate's non-lethal (and gets the Ele killed) damage.

Big numbers kill. Little numbers don't. Lethal damage is important. Lethal on enemy mobs means non-lethal damage to you (because they're dead). Non-lethal damage to enemies means lethal damage to you. What happens when a stalker / shadow gets past your firewall and you cast immolate, assuming you even notice them and cast in time? The Dagger rogue(s) will kill you with Immo, while Fire Mine will blow up and kill the Dagger Rogue.

Immolate is not a Detonator. It will not detonate (anything). The ability description is a lie, or it is bugged, either way it will not detonate.

The cooldown difference is not 24s vs 12s as the Elementalist has multiple cooldown reducers. The difference is closer to 10s vs 6s after between cooldown passives and gear. The only time it is not is when you're level one, and when don't have anywhere close to all your skills yet.

Immolate is OK on threatening and below, but you can get away with anything on threatening and below. Immolate is trash for perilous.

You should have watched my Necromancer build guide. I spelled it out in a non-sarcastic tone.

What is sad is that now people are taking to praising Spirit Mark for allowing them to more easily exploit a glitch that allows someone to self-revive, as if that somehow glossed over the fact that it's actual design is horribly broken.

Its stated purpose has fallen horribly flat and needs fixing. No arguing there. I only advocate giving it a try for its healing/rezzing "capabilities", whether or not they were intended. So functionally it is nowhere near as useless as people (myself included) joke it to be.

I would sooner just not use it at all so as to make it apparent to BioWare telemetry data that it is useless.

I've made several builds of the Necromancer without Spirit Mark. They all work fantastically in different scenarios and most importantly do not rely on using a broken ability to exploit the self-revive glitch.

Hey, my broken minions are cooler than your broken minions!
