I don't really care for the Mass Effect series, the story and the world doesn't do it for me. Not too mention I could never feel any similarities with Shepard, so I don't care about Shepards' story.

I think Hanako wants a story driven Gundam RPG style...
And the idea itself is actually... amazing.
ME4 where all the indoctrination theorists were right
i'd die laughing
And BioWare wouldn't be able to sell it to anyone except a couple of the people that bought ME3 because it was marketed as a "perfect jumping-on point". Wonderful.

I still hope we get a story based game without the annyoing, time consuming, collecting and filler quests. Im not going to preorder Bioware games anyway. Too many bugs. I will wait at least 6 month before I buy them.

No idea here, but I find it hilarious that this thread is sitting next to the "Wait, why are we yelling!?" one...

I haven't played Mass Effect at all. I don't have the time to get into it.
Based on what I've seen online, I'm not interested in fighting a space war that involves alien races. We're already getting a new Star Wars film to enjoy.
Personally I'd rather see try something that's similar to the Honor Harrington novels, or Gundam, where it's just humanity warring against itself in outer space.
your loss. a big one. seriously.

bioware pull your .... together.
I loved Da:I BUT:
Give us more main story
No open world crap anymore, too many games are open world, as it sacrifices strong narrative
Give us a nightmare or insanity worthy of the title
No more OVERLEVELING DAMN IT!!!!
No crafted items at all OR if you include them at least pout some level requirements in them unlike DaI (they broke the game)

Really the story of ME3 was pretty bad and with the stellar handling of Characters "Jacob/Thane" there was 2 and I mean only 2 good parts and that was Tuchanka & Rannoch everything else was bad.
With Casey Hudson gone now all they need to do is keep Mac Walters away from the Script and then maybe I'll get ME4 but only if Mac Walters isn't writing it.
Casey Hudson not making ME4? Thank the Maker. And we should replace Mac Walters with Patrick Weekes. And we have no horrible story maybe have even good one.

I don't watch "Game of Thrones". It's dehumanizing and barbaric. If there's one thing you can learn from that show is this:
All Men Betray

Andreas, you are missing hell a lot. ME series are much better than DA. More compelling, more emotional and just more fun. And the ending? It got fixed. I am so angry to see people constantly discrediting ME3, otherwise a perfect game, for a no-happy ending, which for the first time in the gaming history, got amended. I hope that some day people see that up till now there was no bigger work of art in the industry than ME.
another ME fan rare thing on these forums a d I agree on all points
I like the DA series but I like ME a lot more

Dont get me wrong I am sure alot of people loved ME3 and I really wanted to but 2 quality sections out of a whole game is unacceptable combined with Mac Walters personal prefrences leaking into the final script "Liara being involved in everything".Casey Hudson not making ME4? Thank the Maker. And we should replace Mac Walters with Patrick Weekes. And we have no horrible story maybe have even good one.
Seriously B-Ware its not good game design when you put your own prefrences over everything else."Liara over Everyone else"

You make me laugh, seriously you do, why? because you have no clue, it is ppl like you that make gaming forums what they are and that is legit places legit fans do not want to ever visit, so 10 minutes of your "game" never turned out the way you wanted it, big deal, you do realize that without them 3 you just touted there would nigh never have been a ME in a form that you "love" you do understand this yes? but what am i saying you cant, your perfection personified, you do 100% work at work/school an never once fall below the grade.
Pathetic

I have to ask you two things: what would you expect it to have, and why do none of the currently existing Bandai-made games satisfy you? They seem to put them out by the dozen these last few decades, and quite a lot of them are pretty damn good.
I never said none of the other games satisfied me. I just love the thought of Bioware and Sunrise working together on a Gundam game.

I think the guy got a lot of unjustified hate, even from me (but off-this-forum). He was responsible for Mass Effect and his Bosses... those with the E and the A (that is supposed to stand for Art) cut it all down.
The game was postponed and it still did not contain everything... they not only butchered the Rachni but also the ending... at least they managed to somewhat salvage the ending and smooth things over with the Citadel DLC.... but in the end it was EA.
Those guys you mentioned... I believe those and Drew K. are what made the ME universe so great, sleek and stylish.
And the ME games never had bad story. The third one had a very bad ending, the second one had a hilariously bad end boss, but that's it... the rest is great. Talking with the Thorian, Vigil, Leviathan, the Shadowbroker...
I think when you watch the Casey Hudson reviews today, the one's where he actually says, that the endings or not really definable as A,B or C, he does not really look that happy and confident in those (enthusiastic)...I think that is the point where the business side of EA hit those guys so hard...
I hope EA will see now... that a longer development period, and more content will sell a BioWare game better, than a streamlined DA2 expirience... or a butchered almost masterpiece ME3
I hope BioWare will return the A to EA... I am just sad, that those original guys are not there anymore...

Now DAI being mostly filler content is all on B-Ware though not EA and EA didnt push Liara on us B-Ware did I love how we had alot of LI's but if you romanced anyone from ME2 you were screwed.

No, it really did not get fixed. The EC addressed only the minor complaints with the ending, which, for me, were never that much of an issue to begin with. There WERE people who complained about the things the extended cut gave more illumination to, but there were deeper, more fundamental flaws with the whole logic of the ending, that simply weren't fixable, without scrapping at least the last ten minutes of the game, and starting over.
There are a number of problems that really make the ending one that you'd better not think about too closely.

Nothing. No, sorry, the Mass Effect universe is dead to me after the horror that was ME3. Too bad -- it's a great universe, but I ME3 really was that bad, IMO. And I adore Liara. Plus she's useful. Well, she would be if I could ever bring myself to play the ME series again. Not likely.

Maybe ME4 will have something to do with that planet upon which some of the survivors landed upon.
It has the potential for a brand new start and storyline. It could be a good point for gamers new to ME to jump on in. ![]()
I'll be on the lookout for any information pertaining to ME4. I am really curious to see in which direction the franchise will be taken.

Hopefully, ME4 will include exploration of areas as large as in DAI but with more content in it and with slightly more connection to the main story.
I wish they move away from Shepard story. As much as I love Shepard trilogy, including ME 3 endings, I think it is time to move on.
