After reading so many threads on the MP forum (and the PC thread for SP ) I initially thought this was the most negative gaming community I had been a part of in a long time.

 

I now realise it isn't negativity - it's simply despondence, and the frustration of playing a B-Grade product with a lot of existing bugs and issues.

 

Players found a game that has a heap of potential and is a little different from what's available for coop play.... had all of the great memories of ME3MP, and then had their excitement ground away by persistent bugs, lack of/poor communication from the developer, and seemingly random design choices that compound the feeling of being screwed (I mean the loot system primarily).

 

The quality of this game is not what we hoped for and the hope that it will improve is difficult to sustain with so little input from the only party that has control of that outcome - BIOWARE.

 

I don't want this to be a rant thread or for people to be banned (like some were for criticising the quality of this game). I do want people to post their support though if they want change and would continue to support this game should it be improved and supported properly by BW. I include actual community relations in that concept too.

As of approximately 1 week ago, there has been a marked increase in engagement by Bioware employees. This was probably due in no small part to the mass discontent and vitriol that surfaced in response to many things you mentioned. However, many of the "disenchanted" folk still hanging around are holding their collective breaths for a little while longer.

 

Bioware has promised a much higher degree of interaction, and the past week has provided evidence of such. It's the weekend, still, but look to see them back in the mix once the workdays begin. Give it some more time.

 

Edit: Forgot the most important part about the disenchantment.

It was kind of a self fulfilling prophecy. They didn't want to interact on the forums because people were so negative when they were here. And why were so many people unhappy with them? Because they weren't here on the forums with them. And as for following them on twitter or facebook.   This is their forum this is where everyone will go looking for answers, to complain and to praise.

 

The thing is it's not really a bad game. But some of the decisions and changes they made in the game made people wonder if they hadn't learned anything from the previous games.

I think they can still turn it around. The next DLC is critical though.

I would have expected to have been able to join a routine PUG during the weekend event. It found nothing.

Brazen enough to speak for everyone Kinom001? No one is speaking for you. No one said "everybody". I was speaking of the collective body of negative posts I see throughout this forum and the people who have expressed those opinions. That would be the "we"....

You may be pleased and that does nothing to change the disappointment of others.

 

 

Most of the BW presence here has been unofficial and disorganised - from the personal attempts of some who have given great info to the rude and dismissive posts of another. Focus has been put on who is to blame / quality of QA department etc which I think derails the simple consideration that a large number of people are dissatisfied with the actual product quality.

The title says it all. I believe you'd find either an equal number or more who aren't "despondent and disenchanted", yet you think to group everyone with that title. If you had spoken of yourself and said you were unhappy with the outcomes you've seen I'd accept that. Everyone's entitled to an opinion, even if I don't agree.

I'm used to the nerf this or that threads and general whining that goes on but it's been a long time since I've found a game that has a lot of people feeling let down from the get go. I found the SP side quite fun even with the UI issues etc but MP has been a lot of frustration.

This is rather good community,imo.People are mostly well mannered and helpful.Yes,there are some trolls and h8ers like in any other community,but I am member for few years now and never have been insulted,threatened on personal level like on some other forums,where mentioning your close relatives and act of "mating" is the least insult you can get.

ME3MP was also pile of bugs at beginning,just think of game breaking bugs like Vanguard glitch.BW didn’t fixed that for months.
