[Shadow Quickpaw]

Varric and his nicknames are rather infamous, as every companion in both DAII and Inquisition has received one (barring Aveline, for obvious reasons). Heck, he even gives one to the Nightmare demon: "Just keep talking, Smiley."

 

In Mark of the Assassin, even Hawke gets one based on his personality, being either Waffles, Chuckles, or Killer.

 

As for the Inquisitor, we are given two generic titles by him that COULD qualify as our official nickname, but I doubt it's meant to be ironclad; namely "Boss" and "Your Inquisitorialness." I however, like to think Varric has a specific nickname for Mr. Lavellan, though it is pure headcanon.

 

Conner Lavellan's nickname is "Crafty." He's an Assassin who likes to come up with creative solutions to his problems.

Lavellan is "Birdy" for her love of Leaping Shot...and falling off cliffs due to Leaping Shot.  Also, female Lavellan's resting position reminds me a lot of a bird.

 

Adaar is "Sparklefingers," initially because Varric isn't the biggest fan of qunari and wanted to make fun of his more cautious approach toward magic.  Adaar was inexplicably thrilled with it, and it stuck.

In that case, my male Qunari rogue is probably "trenchcoat" since he was stuck in slightly differing versions of that the entire game >_<

My Lavellan would probably be "Chatty," though in an ironic sense. I imagine her being quiet and taciturn throughout most of the game, with certain exceptions.

Then there's my Trevelyan: "Silk," since she completely owns the fact she is a noble. Loves finery, frilly cakes, fantastic furnishings, all of that.

My male Trev - well Amatus will do, although if Varric called him that it would be weird.

 

My Lavellan girl I don't know. She loves to explore woods, rugged, wild lands - Wanda short for wanderer. Best I can do there, sorry.

Varric would probably refer to my Trevelyan Knight Enchanter as "Shiny," picking on both the glowy hand thing and the fact that everybody sees him as a sort of golden idol to behold.

fem Cadash rogue: "Gran"? nope, can't hear Varric saying that. "Mother Bear"? No, that doesn't work either. Ah, I'll find one eventually. Grandma Cadash is my favourite RP experience so far.

Aww, I don't think I've ever gotten that one! Since I took those two a lot, she always seemed to be changing it. Last one I got was Buckles.

Kablooey - because my Male Lavellan used that bow that caused enemies (and a whole lot of unfortunate fennecs) to explode. Just left body parts all over the Hissing Wastes.

 

and for my Female Lavellan:

Volts - because she's always firing lightning everywhere. Particularly at the wildlife.

My rogue quizzie would probably get "Daggers" or "Dancer", since if she's not polishing or sharpening her daggers, she's practicing with them. And her moves look very graceful and acrobatic.
