One is great, one is bang average.

At least the decline took 20 years for Indiana though.

Aside from the increase in CG (which is to be expected when the star of the movie was in his mid-60's when they were filming), how is Crystal Skull any worse than Raiders? It's just as silly and fantastical as every other Indiana Jones movie.

Issue i had with Da2 is that it never felt like the people of kirkwall had a life outside of the big catastrophy of the quest.  In origins you could talk to tradesmen, young men in love, fathers, daughters, husbands wives, and it made it matter when things went wrong, which they did often because of the player descision.  In DA2 it felt like the news, bad things happened but you didn't know who they were happening to and you weren't really in a popsition to affect the out come so you couldn't feel bad about it.  It seems like they could have just done more to make the common man or woman come alive.

There is nothing as silly as the swinging monkeys scene, nothing.

Crystal Skull is one of those films which I actually quite enjoy for the first half, I've seen it a few times and I think, this isn't actually too bad, then the jungle chase scene kicks in and it descends into the biggest pile of trash you can imagine.

Origins.

Inquisition clearly had potential and room to be better than Origins, but didn't deliver on quite that level.

You're kidding me, right?

So falling several hundred (if not a thousand or more) out of a crashing plane on an inflatable raft and being perfectly okay is somehow more grounded and reasonable than swinging monkeys? Or Sean Connery waving his umbrella to send a flock of birds into a N@zi plane, causing it to crash into a mountain and explode in a fireball? Or Indy getting Hitler's autograph?

The entire franchise is built on stupid and silly scenarios, being a send-up of classic adventure serials. That's the entire point.

Origins no doubt.

Inquisition is a good game and DA2 had some great aspects(combat mechanics for example) But they can't touch the OG

DA2 all the way.

DAO and DAI become tedious and boring after a few minutes.

I'm now roughly 100+ hours into DA:I. I previously said Origins was a better game and it still is... but Inquisition is closing the gap. After a rouh first 20 hours, I am having a blast. Nothing will top my Origins experience but DA:I brings something new to the table and it is a lot of fun

It really depends on how I'm supposed to define "better".

I enjoyed Inquisition far more on my first run than I enjoyed Origins on my first run. But Origins had more replay value.

So I think I shall have to vote for Inquisition. Because when I take of my nostalgia glasses it is a better game in the ways that matter to me personally.

Origins is tedious, easiest the most annoying of the three.

It isn't.

In the prior Indiana Jones movies, the Occult is real. They aren't science fiction stories, they are stories about what the world would be like if the basis for Christianity/Islam/Judaism were true.

Crystal Skull is all about aliens, and completely denies the reality of the Occult by explaining everything as technologically advanced aliens.

Crystal Skull doesn't deny the occult. I can name more than one series where magic and aliens/science-fiction coexist.

Also, Indiana Jones isn't about what the world would be like if Christianity or Islam were true, they're throwbacks to old adventure serials that would be aired in movie theaters during the 40's and 50's.

Finally, it should have been patently clear that aliens would be involved in the movie right from the title. "Crystal Skull". The Crystal Skulls are believed by many people to be alien artifacts (it's not true, the Skulls are confirmed fake, but people are dumb and believe it anyway). They're a core aspect to the Ancient Aliens idea. That's like watching Last Crusade and complaining about the overt Christian overtones.

I think I prefer Origins but it is a very close call.   It could change depending on the DLC inquisition gets.

Origins is like Batman Begins. Good story, good intro into the franchise with very little overall flaw.

Inquisition is like The Dark Knight Rises. On the surface, all seemed fine and dandy but the more you looked into it, things start getting downhill really badly.

& no, 2 is not like The Dark Knight. not even remotely.
