Sorry if this is the wrong forum but...

Trying to craft an Inquisitor's hat. Could anyone point me which cloth gives me (If there is any) a black hat?

If I remember correctly, darkened samite gives a black hue when put in a cloth slot that changes the colour of a piece of equipment.

You can't really get black crafting material, sadly.

Darkened samite and quillback leather are dark grey. Great bear hide is dark brown. In some lights, obsidian can look black. It's a pity.

Does it have a mastercraft slot? I can't remember. Probably something fade-touched could tweak the color slightly.

Masterwork materials aren't any different in color than their normal counterparts, it's just that you can use them to override existing material colors or to add color to slots that would normally be left uncolored. For example, I wanted to make a set of entirely T3 armor for Varric, but I didn't want it to be brown. I put great bear hide in the function slot, lurker hide in the leather defense slot, dawnstone in a metal utility slot for constitution, and dales loden wool in the cloth defense slot. I didn't like the color scheme, so I put Fade-Touched phoenix hide in the masterwork slot. Now his armor is raspberry leather over a hyacinth blue tunic with rose-colored metal embroidery and buckles.

Already mentioned but Darkened Samite and Great Bear skin seem to be the darkest cloth/leather. Ram skin seems to be kinda charcoal in some light as well.
