Hello guys & girls,

So my friend & I got an idea to replay all neverwinter 2 campaings in cooperation. Unfortunately, when I installed the game, pressed multiplayer option & tried to log in/create an account i got this message about my cd-key being not registered. I cannot find a spot in teh internetz where I could register it so I could use multiplayer option. Is there any site allowing me this? Or NWN2 servers are down forever and it is currently permanently impossible? Is there any other option for playing multiplayer right now?

The authentication server is down forever. You should be able to just log without registering (the password will never be checked so just write whatever in its field).

In case it's not clear, although the authentication server is defunct, multiplayer is still functional.  To enable the Gamespy multiplayer server list in-game, you need to install Skywing's NWN2 Client Extension.  Otherwise, you'll need to use the direct connect method.

If you guys are behind the same router, the host can just start a single player game, then, the other can simply join directly by ip address.
