I'm on xbone and there are a lot of jerks on there. I'm talking on the voice chat, you will get cussed out for no other reason than someone's impatience that you didnt hurry up and open the treasure room.  I've also notice that you will get kicked for either being a low level, or being too good and "hogging up the kills".   This one girl made a big huge deal about my level  ( keep prestiging so I'm always low level).  Begged everyone to boot me and said she don't want to carry me lol.   What's up with these people taking stuff so seriously?

No wonder a lot of people don't even bother plugging in their mic anymore or on mute.

Voice chat in games was ruined when parties were created.

Games r srs bizness...

Actually, they're not, but there's always going to be someone out there who believes it is. Mute 'em.

what makes it worse is because the mic isnt plugged in, the sound will come out through the tv. So everyone in my house can hear that trash coming out of my speakers.  Last night I plugged in my mic but put it off to the side, that way nobody can hear the filith (including me).  Muting is nice but too tedious to mute everyone, especially when you don't know when they'll start cussing you out of nowhere.

1.  When you get cussed out for being so slow go into troll mode.  Stand in front of the door and do not open it....then depending on their reaction

A. Keep standing there

B. Keep walking towards the door and walking back

C. Run on and start killing enemies and leave the door and never open it or at least act like you are.

Once they see you can and will be just as big of an ass as they can they will  either leave out of frustration or shut up.

Those people that want to play the game like this is gran turismo and not DA and I barely have time to get the vases from the gold before they are teleporting me up?  I kick them every time.  Also why I like to play with at least 1 or 2 friends.  I have found if you get on the mic and explain even randoms will kick people like that though.

I think they take it seriously because they have limited time to play and they want to win and get the most gold they can when they do play....they don't understand based on play time a level 1 with decked out equipment is better than most random level 15s.

Protip:  Leave and rejoin lobbies until you get a game in progress with level 1s...a lot of times you can hit it in on wave 5 and level up in no time...at least for the first 10 or so levels.

be smart.

Life's too short to spend it listening to stupid people. Mute them until the game is done, then move on to the next party.

Because I don't want to.

And mute anyone playing on Kinect for that matter. Last thing I want to hear is echo's of everything going on in game, guys yelling at their wives across the house for more beer, any conversation that may be going on in the next room, and all of the children crying / yelling at kids and questionable parenting in general that floods through kinect.

I've only had one or two beefs on the xbox one.  As for you getting abused for your level I would need more detail before I could judge that.  If you are level one waltzing into a perilous game then I agree with the girl berating you.  For ever one level one guy that can be very effective there are tow or three that can't.  I think it is a courtesy to at least play one lower level game and gain a few levels before going Perilous or even threatening,.

I only speak into the mic on XB1 with people I know, or if I am addressed directly.  As soon as people find out you're female, it can open you up to a bunch of unwanted attention.

As far as the OP being booted for having a low level, that's unfortunate, but like Beerfish said, if it was a Perilous pug game it's to be expected. No one can see your gear load-out or your prestige level, and unless you're friends with your group, they would probably see you as a liability and wouldn't want to take the chance.

A liability even if they are already one player down?  The match was already in progress, I could have came in and helped out but you're telling me they rather play short handed than with me?  I'm not buying it, and think it's just out of spite but the funny thing about it is everyone is trying to level up not just me.  If you want people to be accepting of you when you're trying to level up then you have to do the same for them.

You take a trip to the Fade and the enemies get harder. So yes we would all rather have no one instead of a level 1 in perilous.

I dunno, smooth operator.  I can't claim to speak for other people's motivations.  I don't boot people unless they are being verbally abusive or afk for extended periods of time.  But other people have different criteria when it comes to vote-kicking.  You just had some bad luck, I guess.

That is a very good point, but I doubt that was the deciding factor for them. The guys didnt say much about it and may have been cool with it if she didnt make a huge deal like the world was ending and beg them to kick me. Anyway that is only that one scenario but I hear the verbal trash from all kinds of people.  Like "hurry up and open the door you (insert name calling here)".  Next time somebody snaps at me because they are having a bad day, I am going to plug my mic in and say F U.  I don't really want to be like that but their filth comes through my TV speakers and I don't appreciate it.

Sadly, I've gotten votekicked a couple times (though rare) as lvl 4ish on Threatening and lvl 7ish on Perilous. That's the equivalent of 1 courtesy game in Routine and Threatening, respectively. Although since I was displaying the ol' nugface and Perilous title/Threatening banner, I figured, "if all 3 of these guys don't recognize any of this, then I'm probably save myself a failed game here".

Yeah, I tend to mute players too.  There are some decent folk, but plenty of jackasses.  on Threatening (in my own lobby) "that level 1 katari...." who then proceeds to kick major ass.  good thing I can't kick players as host.  anyhow, muting people doesn't take too long so I don't mind doing it.  when I am recording, I mute everyone anyway.

This has been brought up before, but BW, we really need a system similar to ME3MP where we could see player loadouts.  This would be super helpful for the community in determining if a player is loaded and experienced enough for the level they have chosen.  Please seriously consider doing this.

You guys are too thin skinned...seriously.  I wouldn't trade some of the mic chatter laughs I've got for anything.

On DAI even...there was one time in the first few weeks this game was out.  There was a guy that was a legionnaire barreling through everything....I don't know if he was trying to test his survivability or what, but that dude was going he wouldn't even kick down warrior walls.  There was a guy on the team...probably a archer wanted gold...I mean gold means chests which means equipment.

He was trying everything...scrambing to get vases, begging, pleading, demanding....asking the guy to just kick down the door on his way by.  It got to the point he was raging...he would go in the treasure room and "poof" teleported before he could get the gold...he was making animial noises at this point "RAAARRGGGHHHHHRRRRRRUUUUHHHH!!!!!"  I admit I was helping the legionnaire kill stuff just so I could hear it....I was in tears.....I've gotten so many laughs from game to game.  You guys are missing out.

I like to use the mute button a lot.  I get kicked sometimes when I am in a group with three others who are talking.  owells, I just find another match.  Just don't take things personally OP, you don't know them so what does it matter what they think?
