I haven't encountered him in game, but I've seen his full appearance on youtube. Honestly, rather like the guy and would enjoy it if he shows up in a future installment.

He's got the high class fashion sense and the bad boy stubble. A potent combo, to be sure. He certainly outshone all the Orlesian 'gents' we met in the game. Those ridiculous hats...

i just wanted to see him with some deep ocean waves in that low cut fade or whatever. Guess there are no Duke texturizer equivalents in Thedas yet.

This guy seems pretty awesome... too bad I never met him in the game.  Still, it's something to look forward to when I get around to playing again.  And hey, Isabela started off as a pretty insignificant character as well and look where she ended up... If the next stop for the franchise is in the north, maybe we'll see more of him.

With Zevran, Josie and Otranto i'm starting to think being smooth, charming and generally likable is genetic for Antivans :P

Lol tell that to Dorian and Vivienne's "At least we're not Antivans" , "Thank the Maker!"

If they are going to a give a minor character from DA:I a bigger role in DA4, he'd be as good a choice as any.

The duel, for those that haven't seen it:

NOPE. Apparently, judging by how she reacts to the whole thing, I think it's safe to say no.

You can bet these two become bros after this though.

Same here, I can totally imagine either those two ended up either fighting through all the shops in the bazaar until they were thrown out, or continued dueling for the rest of the day until they were told to leave by the night janitor, as he needed to sweep the floor.

I'm quite frankly surprised that Adorno Ciel Otranto does not have a strong fangirl crowd behind him yet.

I foresee him being the next Cullen.

Welp, it's official, I'm headcanoning that these two fell in love mid-fight.

At least they let Josie down easy.

I have never seen him before this thread. I guess I better break out my male characters and romance Josie.

You don't need a male Inquisitor to romance Josephine, she's available as a LI for both genders and all four races.

I may be bumping this thread but oh my god I actually laughed out loud at that! :D

It's official: Josie is gonna be my canon DAI LI for this guy.

(Wish the Duelist spec returns in DA4, and single rapiers are introduced as a type of weapon exclusive to that spec)

Am I the only one who got annoyed at having to duel him with a mage staff stuck on my back? (I assume it happens with other weapons too.) Doesn't that rather defeat the point?

As the party challenged to a duel, he gets to choose the weapon. If you don't like it, you can forfeit.

I need to see him and Isabela duel to the death. (Or not to the death. To the nudity? Naked mud dueling?)

That's not the point. I want to know why I still have a staff stuck to my back when the duel is to be fought with rapiers. Is that not breaking the rules?

Think of it as a compliment. He would never question your honor by suggesting you'd whip out an illegal weapon in the middle of your duel. :P

Ha! I just don't see why they couldn't unequip it. It's all cutscene, after all. Not as if there's any controllable combat.

Why? You're not using it.

Why? You're not using it.

It's within easy reach and could be used at any time. The point of choosing weapons in such a duel is that each party has the same weapon available. The Inquisitor clearly has a back-up weapon or weapons strapped to his or her back in easy reach. That (s)he chooses not to use the other is immaterial.

But by using another weapon, you'd break the rules of the duel and would therefore forfeit. So it's immaterial.

While I understand wanting to use the weapon you're trained with in the duel (specially as a Mage), I would like Water Dancing (rapier fencing) as a full-blown Rogue/Duelist weapon style.

I'm not sure your opponent would be too bothered about the forfeit if you'd just turned him into a pile of ash, stuck an arrow through his throat or decapitated him with a waraxe. It's obvious that your usual weapon should be set aside and only the chosen weapons used.
