It'd be great to have DA: O rebuilt on Frostbite 3. The same story, world, classes, abilities, but rebuilt on Frostbite
3. I'd pay 200€ for it. I swear!

200€ for nothing but better graphics?? no comment ![]()

If DA: O is nothing to you...Well, no comment indeed.
No.. no and no... unless they release a toolset.
IF they did this people would just complain that they are trying to take advantage of the player base by re-releasing a game they already own with only "minor" improvements.

well, obviously at least some people would be happy and pay up to 200€ for it
i guess they are the same kind of people who pay ~2€ for a weapon camo in CoD ![]()
srsly, i wouldnt pay more than ~15€ for nothing but better graphic, and i really dont think that dao needs something like this. the game still looks good imo.

No remastered version of a game would be worth that much. Graphics shouldn't be the reason why someone would buy a remastered version anyways, if you're going to make a remastered version then you have to weak a few things and improve on it, as well as obviously up the graphics, sell free dlc with the game as no one wants to buy all the dlc all over again. i'm good with buying a remastered version of a game on next gen only and only if they have all these things and are cheap, as in maybe about $20-25 or 20 Euros. Games have no value if we've already played them many times before so they shouldn't be expensive in the first place if you ask me.
I agree the Unreal Engine is still a good engine as it's still being used for some games. I think Frostbite is definitely better looking but in all other areas I'd say they're both pretty similar
DA:O uses the Eclipse-engine, not the Unreal3. and you just cant compare the U3 with FB3; and i dont think that the FB3 is a good engine for a RPG, but dont ask me why.

I Personally think FB3 is horrid.
Lolno.
For me to cash out for a game I've already played several times over it would need a lot more improvements than just pretty pixels. DAI showed me well enough what I can expect and I wouldn't pay for that again if the BioWare staff personally showed up and pleaded to me with tears in their eyes, just no.
And that aside, I have the lingering suspicion that the FB3 engine is either faulty by design, or too complex even for its designers to properly handle given how problemantic each game using it has been to date. IF I wanted graphics to improve, I'd rather go for an engine whose entire game track record didn't consist of one buggy mess after another.
I don't care if it is on frostbite or any other engine. I would love to get a remake of Dragon Age: Origins including Awakening with a Warden who has a voice! THAT is the most important part for me. Some smaller adjustments like the trash system and the crafting system from DA:I would be nice too. They could add some additional quests and/or some additional DLCs to pitch it to those for whom this isn't enough.

You can enhance the graphics quite abit withmods, if you play on pc.
You know what, How about let the people who want a remastered DAO buy it for that amount, Like say Let Bioware create a remastered DAO to those who email them and are willing to buy it at that amount? Not RELEASING A REMASTERED one but instead making an exclusive copy to those who are willing and able to buy it.
I think Bioware can do that. and then people who bought it would post pics of the remastered work and then say how amazing it is. . and then People who initially didn't want to would want it then . . and ironically would complain why its not published publicly with a lower amount. . . blah blah blah blah yada yada yada yada. . saying we didn't think it was gonna be this good/different yada yada. It's the same gamer bullshit philosophy if people haven't experienced or played it yet then. . They say bullshit initially. Yea BULLSHIT always comes first.
PS
I'd buy it for that amount as well if it was like a limited edition or collector's copy type of thing.
I would love some quests or codexes that would explain what happened to Adaya (City Elf Mom). Like Sir Feleron being talked by the miner in Lothering. Something explaining what happened to Ser Bryant or any quests relating to it. More contents about Chasinds. and more explanations on a lot of gems inside DAO like the raven w/c can be seen when you visit Flemeth's house with Morrigan with her personal quest, At the landsmeet and when you return to Ostagar. I have a feeling that was Flemeth shapeshifted.
I would love to visit Teagan's old home, Reinesfere. More about Teagan would be nice anyway, he's a gorgeous character.
However, I would also be happy if they simply release a patch or a mod that adds a voice to the warden. It still feels strange to me and my husband always stops playing after a few conversations just because of this.
Yeah. . However adding a voice to the warden would mean rewriting the script with DAO because if your Warden talks then of course the focus should be on you not the person you're talking to like DA2.
Yea so a remastered DAO with that would probably be worth it even at a high price. Imagine actually speaking to Morrigan with the voice you picked or Insulting Alistair's corny jokes and his stupidity.
I would agree with a voiced warden if they still kept all the dialogue choices combined with proper voiced reaction which requires good voice actors AND didn't add that god damn ME wheel. All of that would never happen because BioWare is pretty lazy now when it comes to details.
So no, I rather prefer all those dialogue choices we get in DAO as we headcanon how our warden sounds.
I also would gladly pay 200€ for that, as long as it has total mod freedom as the original.
lol, are you really so stupid? dao is a great game, but just better graphics isnt worth 200€ at all. plus the graphic in dao is imo still good.
It should be a remake with all the features the original game had and a next gen game should have.
Not only the graphics, but a voice for the warden, too... at least.
...and I assume, the "€ 200,--" was meant as a symbol and should not be the reason to insult the OP!
Before the developers of the leading game-companies present us more and more average stuff, they should learn from Hollywood:
A good remake of a game like BG or IWD would be ways better than some mediocre new stuff.

OP was speaking of nothing but better graphics. and my (now deleted, thx for that) post you´ve quoted was a reaction to the OP´s intentional misinterpretation of my first post here, see post #2 and #3. so no, i did not "insult the OP" because he would pay 200€ (regardless of whether meant as a symbol or not) for nothing but better graphics.

I'm not.
It would be wonderful - IF there was a toolset. Which there won't be because Frostbite3 is the excuse for not having a toolset for the games that are on the Frostbite engine (if I remember correctly). And IF they remade the DLC.
Since Bioware/EA wouldn't even make the DAO DLC available through the toolset, I don't see enough benefit to be gained from a remake of an existing game. I wouldn't play DAO any more often than I do now. Which is OFTEN since I am still creating mods for it.
