Yes how many squadmate on the Normandy are actually Military? Kaiden/Ashley, James.....and that's about it everyone else are civilians, Shepard was a civilian in ME2.

Then why wasn't Ashley wearing a military outfit on the ship?

Jacob did in fact have an ass shot.

Every squadmate in the game had at least one ass shot

Loved it which is why i wouldn't want them to change that either.

But they did change all of that with ME2 and ME3. You mean we should not call for them to not change things mid-series and if they decide that TNA, sex-appeal, a vastly simplified chat system and much more is good for the series, you agree with that?

They made changes from the game you loved and made it into a sci-fi Miley Cyrus video (still with a great story) and this does not bother you in the slightest?

Imagine if, in the next ME, all the sexy manly guys started running around the battlefield dressed like this dude:

I wonder what the reactions would be, if all the people defending boobs and ass-shots and Jack's standard attire in ME2 and ME3 would not reconsider.

For all intents and purposes, this might be the next ME's male Jack. I must admit, he is quite a looker. It suits him, I do believe this outfit fits perfectly with his character and storyline.

Spoiler

*edit*

Back story: Jonathan is the son of the Alliance ambassador to Thessia. When he was young his father remarried an Asari, who introduced him to Asari space-shaolin martial arts. In his early teens he went to study to become a space-shaolin monk in a monastery similar to the one where the Ardat-Yakshi were sent, only for space-shaolin monks. He is a warrior to be feared.

Class: vanguard/soldier mix, unique like the other NPCs.

Why not put a spoiler tag for that image?

It doesn't show anything rude. In fact he is more covered than Jack is in ME2.

I only mentioned it in case a moderator deleted the post or maybe lock the thread or someone took offense to it and reported the person

Yeah but Jack's tattoos are quite extensive, and quite varied so they do cover a whole lot, even if its only "painted" skin. Not that her design was excessively revealing but still...

Oh please, there is no one (male or female) dressed like that in ME. It seems like you picked the most over-the-top male "equivalent" picture to make a point.

That's like an equivalent to Ivy (from Soul Calibur)

Edit: There are plenty of "sexy men" in Mass Effect. Jacob and Thane's attire are no less "ridiculous" from what females are wearing. But of course you forgot about that in your diatribe.

I can't believe you got likes for this post.

Jack's design isn't even sexualized, which is ironic, considering she wears the least amount of clothing in the game.

OP aren't you aware the majority of Mass Effect players are straight white males. They are gonna go insane if they see that black guys big manhood dangling in all it's glory in the next game. Especially if we have strippers like that flapping their snoopied weewees in our faces (basically the equivalent of the female strippers).

I'm black btw, and I wouldn't care if the game featured male strippers. Nice generalizing though.

We aren't talking about a mid series change it's a trilogy remaster. The game is already completed and stands as it is if you want to legitimately complain about that you'd need hitch a ride in a flying phone box.

I don't know how you came to the conclusion that Mass Effect somehow resembles a Miley Cyrus video.

I wonder if removing sexualized costumes would generate a response akin to Spielberg removing guns for walkie-talkies in E.T.

Of course, I brought this up before in the context of that already happening between ME1 and ME2 for a totally known reason (sex sells, money!).

It is a dream, but I realize it will not be done, it might be changed in ME4 though, to go back to more logical ME1 looks.

Sexy fun time has it's place:

Spoiler

Just not on the battlefield; nor as a default characterisation of a (usually) female character.

Very nice, is that a mod? I miss the nipple but that is not a huge obstacle.

I do not know asari anatomy, so I cannot comment on how they would react in space, or how their body developes. As far as humans go, the mission where you wear a mask takes place on a Collector vessel. It is probably pressurized, but lacks oxygen. If that is the case, then you would only need a mask for your nose and eyes. If they were actually floating in space, then I believe they would need a full suit.

We do know however that on the more rough worlds only Krogan can thrive and/or fight. That should say something about Asari in context.

Why not put a spoiler tag for that image?

I do not know how to put the spoiler tag on, could you show me/tell me?

More over the top than a teacher with hard nipples/no bra? More over the top than a hardcore ancient mercenary without proper armour? More over the top than a supersoldier with "armour" so thin you can lip read? More over the top than a career military woman from an old and proud military family wearing a miniskirt into battle?

Should I go on?

There are men wearing stupid outfits too, Jacob wears something that is appropriate for an acrobat in a circus and Thane is mindbogglingly obviously made to be a potential romance. I am not defending that, they have been mentioned in this thread, in my first post I believe Jacob was mentioned even.

Just like you, I joke to make a point. Neither Jonathan and his space-shaolin outfit nor Ash or Miranda should be wearing what they are wearing, especially in combat.

I know, it will not be changed, but we can tell/ask them not to **** the next one up like that.

God forbid women should have nipples. Next they'll want them to have vaginas too. The only thing unnatural about this pic is the varren in the background.

That's got nothing to do with it. The point is about whether she has been sexualised or not, and she clearly has been. How that is fitting for her character god only knows (don't forget in ME3 the psychotic, murdering, criminal, emotionally damaged woman is supposed to be a teacher now for the Alliance..).

I loved jack from ME2 i found her new attire to be a sign of her acceptance by and of society, she now cares enough to want to be in fashion. No different to mirandas (awful) red dress (and the same reaasoning they were two separate sides of the same coin). I found the whole "Jack finally becomes a big girl" thing to be more of a problem than her top.
