Who is the most vile evil villain in the series in both personality and actions? And im not talking broodmother vile I am talking about villains like Rendon Howe, Caladrius, Quentin, Sister Petrice, Florianne and Erimond. The villains who its hard to find sympathy for or respect like Loghain, Arishok, and Samson among others. Who is the nastiest foe in the series we have faced so far that at the end of the day you was more then happy to do the world a favor and get rid of them? Doesnt have to be the people I named just any villain in the series.

For me it is still Arl Howe with Erimond a close second because Erimond while probably the most vile in Inquisition he still want his country to rise to glory. Howe on the other hand I feel only cared about himself and I would say to a degree took advantage of Loghain's blinding hate for Orlais to furthur his own goals and public status.

Howe. He attempted to wipe out the Couslands, most of whom were innocents, children and servants because he was basically just jelly. He was also in charge of selling the alienage's elves to Tevinter slavers.

I agree. Howe was just a nasty piece of work. He destroyed his own family because of his own selfish gains. He slaughtered innocents simply because he thought he deserved more. I was more than happy to plunge The Family Sword into his gut.

- Yeah, I kept hold of the sword just for that special occasion.

Definitely Howe or Vaughn. Almost all the other villains have had at least some sort of motivation or were driven mad. Howe was entirely cold hearted ambition, and Vaughn was a rapist.

Although she's not in the same tier as Howe/Vaughn, I'd still list Branka for being a pretty shitty individual.

I'm going to echo this, because they are exactly the same as my thoughts.  Though I'd throw Zathrian on the list as well.

Prince Bhelen, the way he outmaneuvered everyone was very clever. He deserves to be King...

I have to go with Danarius. Just his attitude and tone of voice were vile. And his background and past history and future intentions sum up the rest.

Vaughan Kendells is also awful. He was probably too stupid and not ambitious enough to do more harm than he did.

Other runners up include Quentin and Alexius, but they were clearly mentally deranged and could plead insanity.

Forgot about Danarius. He's definitely in the Howe/Vaughn tier of awful.

Well, Howe is certainly up there for me - but I do rather despise Vaughn and Erimond as well.

Rendon Howe gets my vote. While some of the others may have committed bigger evils, this man is nothing but petty, vengeful and cruel. As bad as someone like Danarius is, my impression is that he's at least capable of generosity - in his condescending way and when it suits him. Howe has not even that much to say for himself.

Of DAI's characters, I'd name Erimond. He isn't in the same league as Howe because he never did more than he needed to to achieve his goals, but nonetheless he appeared to enjoy his little demon and Warden show a little too much.

Vaughan, Caladrius, Danarius, Ser Alric, Ser Karras, Rendon Howe, Quentin, Meredith, Corypheus. I want to put Dorian's father up there as well, because who the hell even thinks about doing something like that to anyone, let alone his own son. That crappy noble Sera ends up killing.

I haven't played through DAI yet, and I don't remember all of DAO and DA2 so there might be other people.

Ser Alrik wins, hands down. Vaughn is evil, but he doesn't use tranquility to get what he wants.

Totally forgot about Danarius.  Yeah, I'm adding him to my list too, eff that guy.  I wouldn't necessarily say Alexius was deranged, really.  Dude wanted to save his son.  His actions were still wrong, but as far as motives go, well...I'm not a father, but I can imagine if/when I become one, I'd burn the world and then three more to save my kid.

Arl Rendon Howe.

May he burn in Thedas' Hell for all eternity.

Maker spit on him. Cousland deserved more.

Ser Alrik and Vaughn are equally vile, IMO.  Vaughn uses his political sway the same way Alrik uses tranquility.  Same thing, in the end.

Howe. The man's a petty mundane noble who doesn't even have the cool factor of Danarius, Corypheus or Meredith.

I'd have to go with Quentin.  I don't care how much he missed his wife, using Hawke's mom for spare parts is just messed up.

Quentin and Howe, probably.

The stupid evil award goes to that Caladrius guy in the Alienage, though.

Especially lulzy if you're a CE warden.
