Don't forget that TIM is the leader of an organization that [per ME2 LotSB] can reliably forge/imitate valid Citadel IDs and other documents and also has sleeper agents everywhere [as per ME3].

It's pretty simple what I didn't like: Not enough interaction or scenes with secondary units. Such as previous ME teammates or the armies you gathered up. Not enough grand scale to any of it in general. There should have been more drama, like a Suicide Mission ++. Go out with a big hurrah. Instead, it was mostly another 3 man skirmish mission through a dark wasteland, where you barely say goodbye to the universe you came to love. They somehow thought it'd be enough to have a barebones combat mission, where you were besties with Garrus and Liara. That only works for some people.

OK, I'm exaggerating a bit on the last bit, but not much.

I wished Priority: Eart was something like the assault on Denerim in DA:O

This.

Priority:Earth underwhelms. The only part of the mission I liked was the pre-battle farewells.

I prefer having them on the Normandy while its heading to Earth.

not that i didn't like but to see a more important impact of not helping or "helping" terra firma

the javelin missiles

saving the rachni queen (would love to see a great fleet of them)

giving Nirali Bhatia's body to the Alliance for improving the kwoledge of new technology in armors and weapons

the lost operative in Lorek (Fathar system, Omega Nebula) to increase truth about them and prevent further recruitment de cerberus, perhaps to the point that the illusive man was forced to help Shepard again and at some point by the indoctrination he (The illusive man) had the end we know and choose.

the Alliance espionage Probe and the bad consequences for humanity if the Council had heard of it.

The lack of an incredible OST like the Suicide Mission Score.

This to a T. It just felt completely underwhelming as what was supposed to be the battle of (Zaeed voice) arma-fuckin-geddon. Just me and two of my companions easily gunning down hordes of laughably incompetent space zombies in a desolate city for all of 15 minutes, with the army that I gathered nowhere in sight and not having any factor in the gameplay. Compared to standard set by the endgame of the first and especially the second installments in the series, it was just resoundingly........meh, and seemed rushed.

In fact, I couldn't imagine playing through it more than once at all without the feels moments from characters I like pretty much carrying it.

I actually quite liked Priority: Earth. It was fun to play. And I liked shooting the Cain at the Hades Cannon. :)

It was OK, I guess... on the entry. I'm not expecting much right away. It just doesn't improve much.

I criticize it because I know they can do better. And I know they planned better, because there was leaked battle audio of all the old characters, as well as more intricate scenarios in other scripts. Telling them it's good does neither the players or Bioware favors. All that happens is EA will say "Oh, we can cut corners and rush the developers? And the players are still happy? Great!"

Even Patrick Weekes (who wasn't part of the process) was scratching his head:

"We did get a goodbye to our friends, but it was in a scene that was divorced from the gameplay -- a deliberate "nothing happens here" area with one turret thrown in for no reason I really understand, except possibly to obfuscate the "nothing happens here"-ness. The best missions in our game are the ones in which the gameplay and the narrative reinforce each other. The end of the Genophage campaign exemplifies that for me -- every line of dialog is showing you both sides of the krogan, be they horrible brutes or proud warriors; the art shows both their bombed-out wasteland and the beautiful world they once had and could have again; the combat shows the terror of the Reapers as well as a blatant reminder of the rachni, which threatened the galaxy and had to be stopped by the krogan last time. Every line of code in that mission is on target with the overall message.

The endgame doesn't have that. I wanted to see banshees attacking you, and then have asari gunships zoom in and blow them away. I wanted to see a wave of rachni ravagers come around a corner only to be met by a wall of krogan roaring a battle cry. Here's the horror the Reapers inflicted upon each race, and here's the army that you, Commander Shepard, made out of every race in the galaxy to fight them. "

Oh, yes, it could have been better. But so could have every level of every game you've ever played. An imperfect game is not a big deal. Despite that - I do agree with you. I think the world would be better without EA. :)

That's a copout. All I'm asking is they hold to the same standard as the rest of the series. Not perfection. Just like the above statement points out: It can't even hold up to Tuchanka. Which is IN THIS very game. And Tuchanka isn't perfect either.

Thessia is another one though (which also had a better scenario before). It's not just Earth.

This is due to rewrites and being rushed. I don't think they got a chance to try their best.

That said, I'm not even an ending complainer. Just a priority earth complainer.

I didn't actually like Thessia. The idea was good, the gameplay was a little lacking though - I think the map may have been the issue, more than the level itself. It was also quite funny because Kai Leng glitched half way into a wall and got stuck and my squad just shot his head and arm (which were the only two things visible) until he died.

Yeah.

I am not an ending complainer, either. But I actually found the mission itself fun to play - although it could have been a lot better. :)

Fair enough. If you had fun, then you had fun. It's not the most horrible level or anything. What bothers me is I know they can do better... and wanted to. Basically.

If they ever remaster the series, I'd love to see them tweak this.. and not merely enhance the graphics.

There are a few levels I'd remaster. :) I'd also add in animations to put the helmet on and take it off - it rather annoys me when it fades to black then all of a sudden you have your helmet on. But that's fine. :)

Priority Earth takes place in a london way too familiar to the current one.  Almost like it's not real

Also... remember folks.  Cains kill Reapers. :D

That creeped me out a bit (not in a good way). It's supposed to be a couple of hundred years into the future, but London hasn't changed aesthetically?? I kept passing red phone boxes all the time, and you barely see those in the rest of the country now, nevermind in two hundred years!

As for what I didn't like: the scale didn't feel as grand. Even compared to ME1, where you never saw any other soldiers fighting anything. But you did see bits of gunfire with Sovereign as you ascend the tower and the cutscenes of ships fighting it. In ME2, the whole team plays a role in the Collector base, plus you have the impact of picking them for different tasks. Also trip to the galactic core is definitely more impressive than Earth. ME3's finale really should've combined all those aspects.

The mechanics of the endings themselves: how does grabbing some rod things and electrocuting yourself lead to complete control of the Reapers? How does smacking a generator thing destroy all the Reapers (especially geth and EDI too)? How does throwing yourself into some beam thing load to all organics and synthetics merging? EC explains more about what will happen when you do, but not how exactly it's supposed to work.

It's just empty because it's rushed. Like listen to Jack and her students here.... tells me they planned more:

I actually didn't see that as a problem, London still has buildings/remains from the 16th and 17th century, so I don't think it's impossible they keep the city in that state in the future. London is a beautiful city and I love that they still have all these older buildings around. I hope they DO last another 200 years :D

Yeah, it's all pretty epic (if lore breaking) and then you never see anything but Alliance ships after it.

Ground forces had a similar problem. Not a single geth trooper, or quarian marine. No mercs either, but you see krogan in the cutscenes even if you have literally zero krogan war assets.

wat?
